an evening. Biyearly profit sharing. Vested stocks. Blizzard employees also get discounts on gear and all Activision Blizzard games. Free balance and game codes to redeem. Ride share programs and raffles. Blizzard fans are everywhere and extremely kind.

Culture different per game team. Experience at Blizzard may vary as a result. Different teams have led to silos in shared code cross communication. Each team constantly reinventing the wheel. It is better to leave Blizzard and get rehired for a pay increase than stay and receive a pay increase through reviews. When projects were cancelled, the people were allotted time to find new teams, that practice has since changed. Blizzard has only become slower at making games over time which affects bonuses, profit sharing. Little accountability for executive decisions that are passed down to its employees instead. Some teams drastically need more people and has led to burnout and turnover.

Very laid back experience

The only stressful times seem to hit closer to the release date of the new game (which makes sense), but a lot of smaller studios don't even fall into crunch like that. Otherwise, very easy to blend in with the community and make friends. Culture may vary from studio to studio, but my experience was more than toxic free. Very satisfactory salary.

Not a lot of people seem to be vibing with the games they are working on. Not that they hesitate to work on them - there is actually a lot of effort put into these titles - but a good half if not more is not very into CoD which is not really a con (probably fairly common in the industry) but makes you question the product you are working on at times.

Heavy work load, good people

Most of the people working here are amazing at their jobs and great to work with. It's also cool to work on huge brands in gaming. Pay is at industry standard. Like most jobs, if you have a good manager then life can be pretty good.

Everyone is overworked and it always feels like you're not doing enough no matter how much you deliver. It seems like every team takes on too much in order to impress leadership, which takes a heavy toll on those working in more junior roles.
