It means finding different ways of opening up the University, its knowledge and learning opportunities to wider audiences. The Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) promotes programmes, pathways and support for adult, part time and foundation level students especially, although not exclusively, those from disadvantaged and under-represented groups. We operate both as a multi-disciplinary School running undergraduate programmes that support recruitment and progression and as a Service with a range of functions to meet the needs of our various cohorts on a ‘one-stop-shop’ basis. Our students and service users are varied in terms of age, background and mode of study, but all are ‘non-standard’ in some way. Some study on LLC programmes; others are parented in faculties. In addition, much of our provision is targeted specifically at the local community, supporting both recruitment and public engagement. We are committed to providing a first-class student experience delivering advice, guidance and support in a confidential and friendly environment. From initial enquiry, through an introduction to university life and during their whole academic career, prospective and current students have plenty of formal and informal opportunities to gain information, advice and guidance from our experienced and sympathetic staff. Here you can study a range of part-time, foundation level and full-time courses: • Arabic and Islamic Studies • Arts and Humanities with Foundation Year • Business Management • Business Studies with Foundation Year • Child and Family Studies • Contemporary and Professional Studies • Earth and Environmental Sciences with Foundation Year • Interdisciplinary Science with Foundation Year • Interdisciplinary Studies (Formerly PHE) • Learning and Teaching • Studies in Science Open Foundation Level Study, Part-Time Study, Mature Students, Widening Participation, Public Engagement, Community Outreach, Professional Development, Careers Support, On Course Guidance Open University of Leeds, Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building Leeds GB LS2 9JT University of Leeds Consumer Goods
