I had at least 3-4 managers over the many years I was employed and although most of them were very senior they were not good managers. It was more that they were at the company a while and moved up, many were only worried about themselves and their growth and not the teams. Also we’re only interested in keeping things as cheap as possible and pretending to care about career growth.
