lon:cine https://www.indeed.com/cmp/cineworld/reviews Oct 25th, 2022 12:00AM Open Open Open Cineworld Team Member Rushden GBR Pros and Cons There’s always some sort of drama kicking off and people do well if they can keep out of it. Best thing about the place is the staff, tho specifically the ones who are genuinely nice people and care for each other, you know when these people are working cause the team feels so strong. Free movies is great if you’re a movie fan, plus discount too. 0.0 0.0 3.0 2.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 Oct 26th, 2022 08:29PM Oct 26th, 2022 08:29PM Cineworld Consumer Services Travel & Leisure
lon:cine https://www.indeed.com/cmp/cineworld/reviews Oct 25th, 2022 12:00AM Open Open Open Cineworld Team Member Rushden, Northamptonshire GBR If you're not a favourite, don't expect to last long The work is easy enough most days, though big releases or "Cineworld day" (which won't be communicated to you before the public, as communication from head office is terrible) can cause absolute chaos and there are never enough staff rota'd on to handle it. If you can become a manager's favourite, you'll do great, you might even get fast tracked to team leader, otherwise you'll be stuck on a 0 hour contract listening to constant drama and petty arguments. Depending on the time of year you could get 4 hours a week to maybe 30, but don't expect to be able to live off these wages. Team members are genuinely lovely and very few complaints there, on slow days it's easy to forget it's a job and not a social occasion. Management are a mixed lot, but all in all they do not help with the grunt work and will spend most of the shift sat in the office chatting or watching staff on camera. If you like (mostly) easy work and aren't there to make friends this is for you, otherwise, I'd avoid. 0.0 0.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 2.0 Oct 26th, 2022 08:29PM Oct 26th, 2022 08:29PM Cineworld Consumer Services Travel & Leisure
lon:cine https://www.indeed.com/cmp/cineworld/reviews Oct 25th, 2022 12:00AM Open Open Open Cineworld Team Member Rushden GBR Started great, went drastically downhill We’ll get the bad out of the way. Management is so incredibly toxic and unprofessional. Team members are never listened to about anything. If you have a problem you might as well just keep it to yourself because it goes in one ear and out the other with them. They have no respect for their team and use their ‘authority’ to get away with anything. Management have no consequences to their actions; they’re allowed to sleep with staff & embark on very intimate relationships, letting it negatively impact the work environment all to no cost to them, when its evidently highly unprofessional and a disregard to all policies. All in all, management only care about themselves and what takeaway they can order on shift. The workload flicks between being very easy & relaxed to extremely heavy & stressful. You do not get acknowledged for any good work you do & are constantly expected to go ‘above and beyond’ to make managements lives easier whilst being paid absolute peanuts. The good thing about Cineworld is the friendships you make out of it. The team itself can bond together so well that you make friends for life & i wouldnt be where i am without that. If you wish to work there part time then great, you can mainly escape the toxic environment and ignore the negativity and poor management. But as a full timer, cineworld is not the place you want to be if you wish to have any mental health left by the time you’re 30 Discount, free films, friendships Management, toxic environment 0.0 0.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 4.0 1.0 Oct 26th, 2022 08:29PM Oct 26th, 2022 08:29PM Cineworld Consumer Services Travel & Leisure

My boss at the time was kind of rude, but once you got past her things were ok. I always hated cleaning the popcorn machine. lon:cine https://www.indeed.com/cmp/regal-entertainment-group/reviews Oct 22nd, 2022 12:00AM Open Open Open Regal Entertainment Group Team Member/Cashier Bolingbrook, IL USA Management Honestly, I had a great time working for regal overall. There’s a bunch of teens working there so of course someone has drama, otherwise whatever. The main issue I had was with management. The general manager was AMAZING and same with one of the assistant managers. I only had issues with one of their assistant managers, I was a minor at the time and was told that I was purposely getting scheduled less hours and getting the “bad” activities all on purpose. All due to the ADULT saying that there was all this flirting/tension going on toward them. I WAS A KID. Disgusting. Aside from that happening, I really did have a good time with the other assistant manager, general manager, and team leads. General manager is awesome One creepy assistant manager out of two 0.0 0.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 3.0 2.0 4.0 Oct 27th, 2022 08:45PM Oct 27th, 2022 08:45PM Cineworld Consumer Services Travel & Leisure
lon:cine https://www.indeed.com/cmp/cineworld/reviews Oct 21st, 2022 12:00AM Open Open Open Cineworld Team Member Rushden GBR Sometimes fun job, good benefits but awful management. It's either extremely boring or extremely stressful. The pay is poor and the contract is 0 hours which means there's a possibility you could be given as little as 1 shift a week. The benefits of the job is what keeps you there, unlimited free films and 40% off food and drink. Shifts are quite lenient and you can easily swap them with your colleagues but as everyone receives very few shifts they're hard to fight over. If it's busy and you're understaffed be prepared to be overworked as members of the management team will rarely leave their office to assist their team. If you're serving on the tills and a queue starts to form, also be prepared for your colleagues to stand and stare at you from across the cinema talking away instead of helping. I learned a-lot of key skills, mainly skills to use in future retail / hospitality jobs but not much else. The team can be great, they're definitely what decides the fate of your shift, unfortunately I can't say the same for the management as it's shockingly poor. I'm unsure what other Cineworld sites are like, but this one is constant drama, beef and cliques. Favouritism is at large and different rules seem to apply whether you're a Team Member or a member of management, they can get away with murder. For example, one manager had been in a relationship with a new team member for months and managed to keep it secret from the store manager, which is against so many policies. Unsurprisingly this team member was granted fast track access to supervisor training and was soon given a permanent supervisor position (before he was signed off) ahead of multiple members of the team who were actually signed off for the role. When this was brought to light to the store manager, no action was taken. Oh, and people WILL talk about you behind your back. Don't get me wrong this job has it's pros... It's can be easy, you'll most likely make friends, gets you out the house etc, etc. It is sometimes more of a social event than a job though. If you're looking for a job, here you go! If you want a stress-free, non-toxic working environment, avoid! And if you struggle with any mental illnesses... Good luck :) 1.0 0.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 4.0 2.0 Oct 25th, 2022 08:28PM Oct 25th, 2022 08:28PM Cineworld Consumer Services Travel & Leisure
lon:cine https://www.indeed.com/cmp/regal-entertainment-group/reviews Oct 21st, 2022 12:00AM Open Open Open Regal Entertainment Group Concession/Floor Staff Staten Island, NY USA Garbage company Regal doesn’t give a s*** about their employees. They will give you literally one day a week because they “can’t afford” to give away hours yet continue to hire people. They will schedule you 8 hours but send you home after 4. You won’t even finish your full shift. You’re basically on call. Most of the managers care more about the customers than employees because they want to kiss their bosses a****. All of the employees and even managers talk behind each others backs. It’s a joke. They expect so much and give so little. Don’t work here. 1.0 0.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 Oct 25th, 2022 08:28PM Oct 25th, 2022 08:28PM Cineworld Consumer Services Travel & Leisure
