Overtime was common for people above 18, especially on celebrations like Halloween. The job was easy to get the hang of, as it involved many standing around and talking to people.

Fun workplace, lackluster pay

7+ day weeks aren't uncommon as they seem to always be short-staffed. Managers do what they can but ultimately it doesn't have a big effect as they have many other things going on.
Other staff are friendly, but you can tell being overworked gets to many of them.

Meeting guest from different nations and background, it is so lovely and interesting.

Probably during summer when we have millions of guest from all around the world, we remain guest obsessed amidst the demands of high traffic.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A safe, healthy and enabling environment for productivity. The merlin ways is magical and everyone is encouraged to own their craft and find fun working.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It's about showing your people skills and willingness to help everyone that comes to the Merlin attraction. Each day is always fun and i love it when it's relativiely busy and not quiet.

It's Okay

This job was only planned to be a short-term one but, due to other circumstances, I have been there for too long.
I have swapped roles and found that those I went to were wrong for me, so I stepped back to what I knew. I did not realise that you only have three attempts at getting the role you want before having to leave the business for 8 weeks before you can reset the counter as well as your service length.

They seem great to start with but then absolutely shaft you after about 6 months. Any complaint or queries aren't listened too whatsoever and you might as well quit on the first day

The colleagues made the job much more fun the role its self is simple although the training provided was limited and the wage is bad you are also standing for long periods of time but overall fun place to work.
