A little cliquish but overall they put the staff first. Great health insurance use to be 100 % coverage. Was asked to work after hours and be on call. They talk to you like your something on the bottom of there shoe. They have no common sense and struggle with running the warehouse. They have no respect for you personal life or ANYTHING going on outside of the workplace. They don’t take people thoughts or feelings into consideration. There is favouritism for other teams within the warehouse and they do not care about a certain team in this role! The store I work in the managers was very good and understanding, took advice a suggestions on board and actively work on them as a team. A lot of heavy lifting as you will be moving A-LOT of furniture around all the time as they change there hotspots every 2 weeks and constant new sets of sofas coming in due to cancelled orders, and if you live close be prepared to work every late as everyone uses excuses to leave early and avoid the late shifts. Working every weekend and every bank holiday with no breaks unless you demand to take it as no one will tell you take it not even managers. Area managers also come into the stores on a regular basis walk round for 30 mins and get you to move everything round just to tell you next time that it’s all in the wrong place next visit which will be a week later!. Very pushy sales approach and targets are far too high, but if your looking at starting a new career in sales good only for experience not a long term job. If your not expecting to stay for longer than 12 months don’t take the guaranteed commission as you will have to pay it all back and my advice to anyone is reject it anyway as it gives you a false hope of how much you should be earning. Holidays are first come first serve and the managers get first choice so good luck getting anytime off as everyone wants the same holidays and the store managers don’t get say in the holiday Rotas as it’s passed to area managers who rarely say yes unless there is absolutely no one off on those days in the whole company so if you want a weekend off and someone in wales is off already and you work in England it’s a no!
