Great place to work

Friendly people and great team work made working at tesco one of the more enjoyable jobs that I've had, the pay for my age was great and reliable, the only downside was that this was my first time trying our nightshifts and it just wasn't for me, nothing against tesco however as this was a personal issue.

Typical retail job, expect to be bounced around departments every night and have extra work put on you at the last minute. On the upside everyone is warm and friendly so you get to moan about the bad working conditions together.

Managers dump a lot of their work onto you
|
Managers pick and choose how much work they want to do for themselves and then pass it down to the person below them which quite often gets passed down again until it comes to the person at the bottom.
Manager very rarely seen around the shop floor and when they are most of the time it’s not to do any work.

Hardwork but can be rewarding

On the whole it's not too bad as an employer. The benefits are good and if you are lucky you can obtain a rota that suits you.
However, a small number of the management need a crash course in people skills!
There are times when grown adults many with significant retail experience at the company are treated like children!
Putting the above aside the job itself is hardwork but can be rewarding and there is good interaction between colleagues.

Enfield is just far, the job doesn't help the knees. The discount is great and they offer great options for lunch. Again, it is a nice job to do part-time or temporary.
