Lovely colleagues, terrible company

I worked in one of the London stores. Low pay, awful systems and senior management seem to have no direction. But locally all my colleagues were lovely!

Not doing your job gets you promoted and an easy time with management.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Constant movement of personnel, underperforming management getting kept in their job by being in with the right crowd and trying to dictate to more successful people in the company.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, however they ask you to fill in “anonymous” forms praising the company attached to your login Id.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s a stressful place to be for people who just come to work to do exactly that…..work, they are the people who seem to get targeted with PIPs and scrutiny, probably because they are showing management up.

It's a good place to work , with good benefits. however the work can be tedious and the pay isn't exactly amazing. If you don't mind doing the same tasks day in , day out with constant changes in procedure you're all set.

I wouldn't recommend this company because of their poor management and shaming people who do less name and shame is common here on teams chat
Times get monitor every call time cant be more then 5 minutes and daily 80plus calls is must

Fast Paced with amazing colleagues

I have worked with VM for 4 years and the environment is really enjoyable. It is a fast paced job that provides good training and allows you to develop your personal goals within work. There are many tasks that you are required to carry out in a store, from cash handling to assisting customers digitally. Every day is different which allows your days to feel less repetitive.
