Our own story began in the late 1950s when a San Francisco businessman turned traveler started selling hand-woven wicker from one of the city’s piers. He turned his shiploads into a storefront, Cost Plus Imports, on San Francisco’s famed Fisherman’s Wharf in 1958. It quickly became a unique destination for everyone who appreciates original and handmade items from around the world. Thanks to the hard work of associates like you, we have grown into the brand we love today – World Market.
For over 60 years, we have curated a unique marketplace filled with inspiring finds for the home decorator, entertainer, and gifter. From international foods and hand-picked wine and beverages to artisan furniture and on-trend décor, we offer a high-quality assortment at a great value you won’t find anywhere else.
