Bad Experience

If your manager is genuine you will have a pretty great experience with Carter Bank and Trust. Support from management goes a long way. My manager was distrustful, and did not support me while I was harassed daily by a subordinate. HR needs a complete over hall, and the professionalism just isn't there. The things that took place at this company would not stand with a larger organization. The financial institution has a lot of good people, and potential, but will not go far with current practices regarding the treatment of employees.

I worked here for over five years. This was a very nice place to work. Everyone was friendly and courteous, it felt like a family environment, and they didn’t push push push sales.

The system the bank has is awful!! Training is long and not help full when you return to work.
|
Typical work day is chaos! Management & resources to work efficiently and effectively - there is none! The bank makes you accountable for the resources they should provide as a company and bank. Very unorganized and I wouldn't put my money in that bank. What happens behind the scenes would make you cringe.

Who you know matters more than how qualified you are. There is a lot of favoritism. Pay is decent but you’ll work more Saturdays than you are off.

Overall an okay place to work.

I would say CB&T is a good place to work, although they do need to pay a bit more for what they require you to do. My typical day at work includes teller work as well as opening account.

Terrible place to work

They expect employees to be there constantly and if you need to leave for appointments at a certain time they do everything in their power to make sure you don’t leave at all. I ended up having to cancel FOUR of my appointments due to them not allowing me to leave when it was scheduled
