Loved the job, 3rd shift

-easy in my opinion, just opening mail/checks, keying in amount numbers with attention to detail (workload initially seems overwhelming on day 1 but you get faster and truly can handle the amount; it's doable)
-the people were very friendly and would help you if you had questions
-great work atmosphere on 3rd shift; no micro-managing; everyone minded their business and did their job
-they often threw food banquets/luncheons for us rewarding us for various things
-management truly does care about the employees and considers our concerns
-lots of room to explore different positions at the bank
(This position has been my FAVORITE job thus far. I was there a little over a year)

It's not bad decision making skills, its that no one wants to make a decision. Make a decision and adapt if it isn't working. And don't make "Accountability" a negative.
Open up the budget for some serious technological improvements (but recognize and exit when that change isn't working out/stop chasing the sunk costs). Stop wasting money on internal, HR system upgrades and get account systems up to industry standards.
Culture is great, but stop treating it like a religion. Culture should be the result, not the goal. People drive the culture, culture should not drive your people.
Alignment philosophy is good, but there needs to be lots of room for feedback at all times during the process. This goes back to sunk cost fallacy again. We have to be able to adapt and change course when necessary and you have to make sure your people are given opportunity to understand why or be open to them pushing back.
