First line leads, supervisors are a joke. Not only they have no formal training in management, but the ones who are college trained think the company should be run like a socialist country. Often coming out with trial and error ideas which in turn wreak havoc in the company operations and employees. The job is fantastic! you get to work in the collecting business and If you are a collector, you be happy. The only problem is that operations level management don't have clear goals and they are more reactive than proactive when it comes to running the business in a efficient manner. Finally, a company that truly values their employees. I love coming to work. My day is busy and I often deal with irate customers, but even that doesn’t detract from my love for my job. I work with an amazing, supportive, team of people; ones that help and respect one another. I’m constant learning new things and enjoy sharing them with my team. I truly feel that we are just one big happy family. We take our jobs seriously, but still take time to have some fun. Everything! These individuals have little or no relatable experience. If you obtain you position solely on experience and knowledge, you will be expected to do the work of three people while the friends and family members spend a large part of their day socializing. You will not be promoted of treated well unless you are a family member or friend. There are several longtime employees that have built very successful careers for themselves there. Very few of these people were in my dept. Managment in my dept had select favorites that received special treatment. If you have a family or medical emergency you can be sure to have any pay increases withheld from you. As long as you are 100% healthy, and don't have any family you might get a pay raise when reviews come. Absoloutely no positive feedback for any and all hard work completed, but even the smallest mistake you will be treated as a complete moron! If your not in the managers clique, you will definitely know! This had caused 4 people to quit in less than a month! Compensation for the amount of work you do is very low! You could be given an increased amount of responsibilities without any additional compensation. If you have any sort of ergonomic requests, they will eventually get someone out there to evaluate your work station, but don't expect any real accommodations. Forced to work in a very tiny workspace, hopefully your not tall as the desks are very low and small. Making the job very difficult to complete and you wont even have enough room for your work as you could have a heavy workload at your desk. Most times the floor would be utilized for product. Upper management talks about their employees as they are expendable and treated as such. Any attempts to transfer out will be met with an insane amount of obstacles. If you are lucky enough to be hired into a dept. With a good and fair manager, you will most likely have a pleasant work experience. Most managers never recieved any sort of training, alot of family members are just thrown into management positions. They do look out for their own! Where I was, we were treated as "units" and spoken down too very often. End of quarter they do bring bagels. They also bring bagels when they are laying off people, so you just never know.
