I would not consider Comcast for a career
|
Comcast has real issues when it comes to discrimination. Don't expect Comcast to be a solid place to work and advance on knowledge and skills. Comcast is probably one of the most unethical companies in existence. Comcast has a huge attrition rate because of the internal behaviors of management. They constantly violate their own employment rules. The pay is moderate, benefits are good but the stress of working for unqualified and unethical leaders will outweigh it all.

No hours to work after training

My experience with NBC Universal is that they give you hours to train and then it is very difficult to get hours to work. You let most people down because of the rules that you are enforcing. It's difficult to be happy at this job when you don't get hours to work and are expected to purchase new shoes after being away from the job for so long. The requirements of purchasing new shoes because a shoe policy was adopted after the fact that you were not required to adhere to a new shoe policy in itself is ridiculous. Here's an idea, maybe give your ride operators hours so that they could afford new shoes and meet your ridiculous shoe requirements. I was scheduled zero hour work weeks, and had to find another job to pay my bills.

The only good parts are the discounts on services. The actual job and job environment are toxic

Not being listened to or heard when I was having medical issues and then ended I went on leave NOBODY contacted me to check in, I had to call them. It’s just not for employee morale

The environment is toxic and the behavior of the managers and supervisors doesn’t even come close to matching the “culture and values” they boast about in training
