Summary: Facebook is seeking a Director of Communications to run our communications in the Middle East, Turkey & Africa. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Facebook, has good tech industry understanding, is an excellent writer, with significant experience in developing and executing high-profile communications initiatives that can enhance the reputation of the company. To be truly successful in this position, the ideal candidate must be a strong people leader, able to influence and operate at a senior level in the region and have deep knowledge and awareness of the various issues and opportunities across the Middle East & Africa. You’ll have extensive experience ideally across both Middle East & Africa, a considerable network in the region as well as some experience of working in other markets. What’s more, you’ll thrive in a demanding fast-moving environment. You will have a deep understanding of how communications can work most effectively with the business, marketing and policy teams and you will have good interpersonal skills that enable you to work with our partners across the company both in EMEA and in the US. You will have strong experience in executing high-profile communications initiatives as well as intimate knowledge of how reporters work, and you are an excellent writer in English, with additional regional languages a plus, but not essential. The role requires creating and managing proactive and reactive communications from planning to execution. You will manage a small team across the region and become part of the Middle East, Turkey & Africa leadership team reporting to the Vice President of Communications for EMEA. You will need to work closely with the US communication team and hand in hand with the specialist EMEA central communications team. This position is full-time and is located in Facebook’s (London) office, but will require some travel. Summary: Facebook’s Marketing Partner Program (FMP) supports developers to build solutions that make marketing easier and more effective. The Ecosystem Development Manager will be responsible for the development of the ecosystem in Middle East and Africa (MEA), reporting to the Head of Ecosystem Development, EMEA. The focus is on prospecting, developing potential and existing partnerships, and scaling companies to be successful in building advertising and marketing technology integrations across Facebook APIs. This position is based in our Dubai office. Required Skills: Identify and translate market opportunities and challenges into a well-defined strategy that will accelerate the growth of the ecosystem Project manage new builds through test and launch and determine success frameworks to scale them to the wider Ecosystem Map the technology ecosystem in MEA to identify upcoming technological trends Prospect and consult developers to build an innovative partner ecosystem Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence partner product development efforts both shorter term feature requests and long-term strategic roadmap Become a Thought-leader and exhibit executive presence and confidence in presenting Facebook to C-suite executives Represent the team in events and evangelize the program to the industry and developer partners Drive product adoption and provide on-going education about new and existing Facebook marketing products, especially those that leverage APIs and other advanced technology Work with Business Ops to set goals, actively measure impact of initiatives and ensure alignment with broader business teams Minimum Qualifications: 6+ years experience in a partner management, product management/marketing, or engineering role. Experience in Advertising is a must with experience on Facebook and Ad Tech a plus. Entrepreneurial/Start-Up experience is a major plus.
