The job is easy going once you get the hang of it.
On a typical day the environment is peaceful. I come in early most days and get started on the online banking applications and back office messages. Everyone else starts coming in and get started on customers waiting for a call back. During mergers we are extremely busy. Everyone in the call center seems to get along well. We work as a team to get everything done in a timely manner.

Very stressful department. Leadership has changed so may be different now.
I do not want to review my experience, which was predominantly negative, because the leadership of my department has changed on many levels. I am too far removed to accurately review.

A small bank feel with a big community impact
7 years in one position without out a promotion, received annual salary increases with average benefit costs. Management was not what I had expected and my manager did not invest in her staff.

Great Experience, Stressful and Cut-Throat
While this company provides great work experience and training, it is also quite unpleasant because of the cut-throat and corporate structure. Instead of focusing on the customers satisfaction the company is focused on making money and sales. To move up instead of completing your job properly you must walk on your co-workers to make them look bad. Not very teamwork driven and the compensation is below par as well. Managers are focused on corporate stats instead of developing a great work environment.

Great team to work with until new management came aboard.
Typical day consists of reviewing loan documentation for personal loan pipeline (30-45 loans) in order to obtain a clear to close. Great learning opportunity for mortgage loans and other lending criteria. Original management team was awesome although occasionally rough around the edges. Restructuring led to new management with less knowledge and an unwillingness to listen to team members with more practical experience. The hardest part of processing is meeting unrealistic expectations placed by certain Loan Officers. Most enjoyable moments were round table discussions with team members.

A Great Place to Work
The First National Bank is a wonderful place to work. The atmosphere is light and fun, but also professional and busy. I consider my coworkers to be my friends, and I love all my customers. The policies of the bank are fair and customer-centric, making it a wonderful place to bank. If our customers are happy, we are happy! Our managers and bank president are all involved, approachable, and fair. If I were not moving, I would stay at The First until I retire!
