The ABC will support the Department in achieving its goals by successfully managing projects, providing oversight of accounting policies and procedures, tracking progress of accounting activities, and performing accounting duties along with administrative support. The ABC will regularly prepare and distribute project status reports to the Finance and Accounting Department Managers to ensure timely completion. Utilizing their accounting and business knowledge, the ABC will provide insight and recommendations throughout the projects for successful completion. This position will be considered a representative of the Finance and Accounting Department to all levels of the Company and be actively involved in assisting in project management for Bank Acquisitions. Professionalism and diplomacy to gain trust is critical to the success of the position. A successful candidate will build and continually develop relationships across the Company as well as vendors to increase the effectiveness and compliance with the Accounting processes. This is a Corporate Position located in Kalispell, MT. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. Duties and Responsibilities Description % of Time Spent • Project Execution: Apply project management skills and control techniques throughout the project lifecycle to support the Department Supervisors/Managers. Execute plans and coordinate with team members to complete the project according to scope, on time, and within budget. Communicate with project team members regularly through team meetings, documented minutes, and weekly status reports. Manage and update changes to project documentation, such as the budget, schedule, and decision log. Identify and manage issues or risks and support impacted areas to reach a resolution. 30% • Accounting Support: Provide accounting support or backup for various department activities including but not limited to reconciliations, research, daily accounting functions, special projects, etc. 25% • Administrative: Provide administrative support including organizing meetings, managing intranet site, managing department documents, printing and distributing reports, etc. Review and maintain policies and procedures including reviewing for content, improving process, etc.. 20% • Bank Acquisitions: Support the Department Supervisors/Managers through the bank acquisition process including the documentation process, conversion and acquisition accounting process, maintaining timelines, reporting progress, etc. 15% • Training: Provide recommendations and support for training activities within the Department. 5% • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Responsible for safeguarding assigned cash/currency by adhering to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, cash variations, Opening/Closing procedures and dual-control processing. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions in accordance with the accuracy standards as defined by Management. Maintains drawer limits. Accountable for handling all cash as defined by procedure and processing overages/shortages according to the Cash Variation Policy. Responsible for keeping all information related to our customers private and confidential. Welcomes internal and external customers in a friendly and timely manner. Provides extraordinary customer service according to the Quality Service Standards and My Service Pledge. Smile, acknowledge customer with eye contact and greeting within 5 seconds, referring to customers by name, etc. Escorts external customers to appropriate departments for specific information and services.
