The managers at bar could not even tell you what kind of beer we had or scotch, vodka gin etc. Managers are susposed to give you breaks but you would never see them. Great tips and met alot of good people. Be ready to travel anywhere from 35 to 45 miles a day, one way! You will start out on the call board as with most places in Las Vegas. However what makes this place unique is that they have no structure on where to send they're on call board employees which is why they are unable to maintain the turnover on this department. All men hired for the on call board will only work graveyard { $25 to $40 earning potential ) Women will get the best shifts ( DISCRIMINATION ). You are basically a baby sitter for an empty location. So if you expect to pay bills during this pandemic then all men should stay away from this place. I guaranty you that you will end up homeless working for this company. Great for first job With any job there were ups and downs but overall the company does its best to work with you and be as accommodating as possible. Depending on what your department is sometimes they are more accommodating than others. If you were in Food and Beverage be prepared not to have a life. Good bosses that listen. They are extremely discriminatory, if you manage to get hired and you have a disability, they'll find a reason, make up a reason, to fire you. Internal management will only promote friends. I’ve never worked for an employer feeling like a slave until I worked here. I thought Caesars was bad... They have their favorites and for the most part, do not put their employees in regard to anything. Even before the pandemic, they were terrible, and at that time prior to quarantine, they started charging their employees to eat at the employee dining rooms. They cut costs everywhere, and stress the entire team with unrealistic expectations, therefore forcing employees to work overtime in low-salary positions. They got rid of the experienced employees and replaced them with “looks good on the surface” upper management; people who have poor knowledge of how certain departments work. Not only did my boss manage the team poorly, I they did not even understand what I did the entire time, and added on work since they ‘thought’ I didn’t have enough on my plate. They also don’t do raises... not even cost of living raises... There is hardly any recognition for the teams they have. No employee appreciation parties... only for the investors. They seem to look down on their employees. In summary, they treat their lower income employees poorly. Not much. I have worked for multiple hotel and casinos, multiple companies, all over the Las Vegas area, many years of gaming experience and I have never been so disappointed in a company. After the COVID-19 pandemic it is even worse. Work more for the same amount of money, which was low to begin with and they won’t hire any extra staff because they want to save money. Large corporation with many opportunities; however, in most cases, upper management is not involved with most employees and decisions made are 100% about profitability, which is understandable; however, I do prefer a bit smaller company with a warmer work culture. The hardest part about the job was that In a large corporation like this, unless you are someone at the top, you really are only a number. Supervisors, even Directors were simply notified by HR that specific positions were abolished and that was the end of it.
