Poor Contractor Involvement

As a contractor for 3.5 yrs, the feeling of their contractors feeling part of the team is extremely poor. Contractors make up a large percentage of Gileads workforce and are treated like their expendable at any time. Which makes contractors feel anxious at all times that their job is on the line.

Great place to work, with an awesome cafeteria. I enjoy my time working at Gilead as a contractor. Only down side was not being full time and get all the benefits.

The hours are excessive due to the company focus on remaining lean. They also use far too many temporary contractors who come and go, which places a heavy burden on full time employees. Finance function expected to provide excessive white glove treatment and "hand holding" to all other functions.
