While the company does its best to promote a good working culture, the advancement scale can be limited and one can feel stuck very easily. Unfortunately many good ideas are not heard and discussion of advancement can be met with mixed reviews at times. Some positions do feel more revolving door than others with management ranging from extremely hands on to relatively non existent. While all parts of the company are necessary, the distribution of compensation and recognition can seem one sided. I don't normally leave employment reviews, but working at this place should come with a disclaimer or warning. I will keep it short, but all in all.. CONS - Unrealistic workload - Extremely segregated between groups (causing lack of communication / transparency)  - Horrible culture (people lie on the internal surveys to avoid being tracked and state it's a great place to work...it's not, no seriously..its not) - Below average pay (does not keep up with cost of living or responsibilities/ titles. Yearly raises are a COMPLETE joke (less than 2.5% (which doesn't even cover the cost of living, no bonus) - No one works together to achieve a goal, instead points fingers, blame others, and complains.  - Those who slack off, are somehow rewarded and continue to move up the chain - Battles between departments - creating a toxic and uncomfortable environment - There are directors/ managers that abuse their power and treat their employees horrifically.   PROS - Free shirts/ product (sometimes) - If you work for the right management, everything will be gravy for you. (If you don't, you will suffer.) - Free snacks and coffee? Turtle Beach could be a great place. But the decent people who are in management need to be honest to the CEO about workload, culture, employee's happiness, and over all the dynamics of the offices. I believe the CEO actually cares, but no one is honest with him instead keeps him guarded from the truth. (oh and people in the company talk bad behind the CEO's back on public/ internal phone calls and forums, man...that was uncomfortable and so unprofessional.) .  There was a decent amount of turnover during my short time at Turtle Beach (about a year) and more will jump ship if things don't change.  I bet things won't change, so instead, they will continue to lose people who work hard and actually care, and in the meantime those who get away with doing sub-par work will continue to float through the company because of who they know and who they can talk around and around in circles with. If you are looking for a tech company with free snacks, this is the place to go. If you are looking for a positive, hardworking culture, where people are all working together, this is NOT the place you want to be. Especially if you want to get paid enough for all your hard work and contributions.
