nasdaq:hqy careers-healthequity.icims.com careers-healthequity.icims.com Jan 6th, 2022 12:00AM Dir Proposal Services Open Remote Corporate Development, Strategy and Support Remote, not set, not set, USA not set Remote USA Oct 29th, 2021 12:00AM Job Locations US-Remote Job Title Dir Proposal Services   We are CONNECTING HEALTH AND WEALTH. Come be part of remarkable.     How you can make a difference   With oversight from the VP of Sales Operations, this position is responsible for the planning and execution of Proposal service projects and supports efforts for the Sales team and Relationship Management teams. This includes directing and managing proposal projects, providing key proposal support to new and existing clients, clearly and accurately describing all of the programs and services that HealthEquity provides.  This position ensures successful project submission across all proposal tools and channels. This position also directs and oversees the activities of the proposal services team, while providing effective sales support as needed.      What you’ll be doing   - In collaboration with the VP of Sales Operations, defines the direction of the RFPteam, establishing major functional roles, courses of action and tactical programs that are aligned with strategic long-term division objectives.  Responsible for the review and maintenance of established standards, systems requirements, internal control mechanisms, key performance measures and standard operating procedures.  Represents and recommends needed updates to the VP of Sales Operations and Senior Sales staff.   - Directs established operational processes, controls and review mechanisms.  This includes the review and analysis of activity and business reports to evaluate performance.  Works closely with internal and external legal and compliance resources.   - Directs the processes and activities of the RFPteam, which includes but is not limited to, the monitoring of tracking of all RFP projects both new business and existing business.  Defines and directs all aspects of RFP  Monitors larger more complex proposal projects and coordinates RFP support requirements with other company departments.   - Manages and carries out the personnel actions for the RFPteam, which includes but is not limited to hiring and scheduling employees; training and evaluating employees; coaching, counseling and managing performance; and making salary, merit or other pay increase recommendations. Ensures that team members are knowledgeable of the Company’s portfolio of products/services, receive training, and are prepared to perform work at the appropriate level. This position may also make recommendations and/or take corrective action to manage performance as appropriate.   - Manages overall RFP creation and delivery.  Ensures all RFPs are completed with appropriate content and accuracy.  - Manages RFP database content and updates, while coordinating with the appropriate subject matter experts.  - Responsible for ongoing program management of RFP processes and improvements.  - Provide additional proposal support to the Sales team as needed.This may include, but is not limited to, responses to RFIs and other inquiries by potential clients, Health Plan partners, brokers, consultants, or others.    What you will need to be successful   - A thorough knowledge and understanding of business and technology as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technology related field.   - Formalized education or training in project management practices, theories, and processes is preferred.  - The ability to oversee a team of RFP professionals, providing overall coordination and management to project completion and effective presentation and technical sales support as normally obtained through 5-7 years of proposal management or coordination experience in an operational environment.  Additionally, 3-4 years of that experience should include responsibility for leading, directing and/or managing others in a project management setting.  - Specific experience in technical writing & project management as described as normally obtained through a minimum 7 - 10years’ experience.  Experience should include creating, editing and approving request for proposals.    - A thorough knowledge and understanding of the benefits industry and/or bankcard operations is strongly preferred. Knowledge of pre-tax benefits, payroll and basic benefits accounting is also preferred. - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, guide and lead others in implementations and provide direction to project management professionals as described. Proven written, presentation and verbal communication skills are required. - Proven leadership skills, a high degree of organizational skill and the demonstrated ability to effectively lead, plan and manage multiple projects through others is required. An excellent understanding of the scope and requirements of RFPprojects including platform scope, project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member is required to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.  - The ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects in a professional manner is essential. Additionally, the ability to plan and manage the department budget and other administrative activities as described is necessary. - Incumbents should have excellent attention to detail and possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and provide resolution for frequently escalated RFP support issues as described. High levels of analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for evaluating data and information.  - A thorough knowledge and understanding of all areas of business operations and an aptitude for systems and technical capabilities is preferred.  - Incumbents should possess strong application knowledge and understanding of company programs, services and products. The ability to rapidly acquire and demonstrate good product knowledge is required. Additionally, an in-depth understanding of the company's development process, including design, programming and quality assurance is essential. The role will be focused on monitoring trends in proposal win rates relative to fees presented, simplifying routines for pricing approvals, and proactively recommending tactics to improve business results. The role will also supervise and develop a direct report who is responsible for analysis, review, and approval of pricing proposals received from Sales and Relationship Management teammates, as well as proactively recommending alternative strategies likely to generate successful outcomes.  The role will work closely with partners in Finance, Sales & Relationship Management, and peers in the Corporate Development and Sales Strategy organizations.   What you’ll be doing   - Lead the Pricing Strategy function: coordinating activities individually, within the team, and across partners that will drive positive results for HealthEquity and it’s partners. - Deliver analyses to understand client fee sensitivity and price floor/ceilings in the marketplace: study the role of fees offered in win/loss trends across client segments and products, using Excel and PowerPoint data visualizations to bring stories to life. Deliver summaries of market trends on a recurring, potentially quarterly, basis - Identify and execute process improvements related to pricing approvals: including but not limited to refinements of colleague authorities, CRM based processes, and profitability based decision rules - Proactively recommend frameworks tactics to improve business results: strategies to prepare well in advance of client renewal negotiations for business priced above/below peers, how to approach complex (more costly) client implementations, rationalize and evolve fee arrangements across 100+ institutional partnerships. Problems faced are often complex and may require extensive investigation and analysis.  - Supervise and develop a direct report who is primarily focused on review and approval/denial of individual pricing proposals, ensuring our Sales and Relationship Management leaders are prepared to profitably and competitively present our value proposition.  - Lead cross functional leadership dialogs, working teams, and committees relating to fee management - Collaborate with teammates at multiple levels of leadership to drive operational efficiencies across partner, account, and sales teams; work closely with Finance to optimize pricing strategies. Acts with general direction and independent judgment and discretion. Gathers, analyzes, and evaluates business information to translate it into detailed requirements, and documentation. Serves as a liaison between stakeholders and users to create clarity and proactively resolve issues.   What the job does: - Evaluates business processes, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement, and develops solutions - Documents current and future state - Supports projects to implement the best possible go-forward process  - Works closely with business leaders and project managers to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements - Supports ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies   What qualifications you need: - Should have a BS/BA degree and/or equivalent work experience (minimum 1 year) - Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and process mapping - Ability to identify customer experience implications of process and technology changes - Proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult with users and understand, assess, and present their needs - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical eye for detail - Well organized and able to balance simultaneous assignments - Adaptable, with the ability to rapidly assimilate new information and self-direct in the identification of team, system, and project implications - An understanding of healthcare financial accounts (HSA, HRA, and FSA) and healthcare insurance is preferred - Familiarity with project management methodology and tools is preferred - IIBA Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) or similar certification is preferred - Competency with business and communications software (preferably Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) is required Category Corporate Development, Strategy and Support Jan 22nd, 2022 06:53AM Jan 22nd, 2022 06:53AM HealthEquity Financials Financial Services
