As part of the development plan, the R&D Electrical Engineer will be working with each team at the Saskatoon, SK location (six months rotation with each team).</span></p><ul><li><p><b>Sustaining / Factory / Product Management</b></p></li></ul><p>Working with the sustaining engineering team, the RISE engineer will execute on product improvement projects and coordination with the manufacturing team at our factory in Mexico. In addition, the RISE engineer will work with the Product Management team doing customer visits, new product business plans, etc.</p><ul><li><p><b>New Product Development (NPD) Test Development</b></p></li></ul><p>Working on the NPD team, the RISE engineer will focus on test development for new products. This includes writing applications (in Python) for both hardware and software validation along with firmware unit tests.</p><ul><li><p><b>NPD Hardware/Firmware Development</b></p></li></ul><p>Working on the NPD team, the RISE engineer work with other engineers on designing new products. Rotations will<span> </span></span><span>take into account</span><span><span> </span>the education, skills, and interests of the program participants and might include assignments in new product development, applications, operations, quality, product management, and sales. Through these rotations, the RISE participant will gain valuable cross-functional, cross-discipline experience with a successful, leading global industrial technology manufacturer.</span></p><p></p>

The Intern will work on a summer-long research project in the Saskatoon engineering office, focused on intelligent protection relay design. They will gain hands-on experience with Littelfuse products and technologies, while testing their teamwork and problem-solving skills on real-world issues.
