To further enable and accelerate Live Oak’s lending growth, we are building a world-class syndications platform. Staffed with highly knowledgeable professionals, run with efficient processes that are built to scale, and underpinned by next-generation technology, our execution will be flawless and lead to an unparalleled experience for our loan teams, borrowers, and participants. </span></p><p></p><p><b><span>The </span></b><b>Loan Syndications Portfolio Manager (“LSPM”)</b><b><span> </span></b><span>will service the syndicated loan portfolio, providing a single point of contact between Live Oak and our participant banks. In collaboration with the Lenders, Underwriters, Credit, and Relationship Managers, the LSPM will manage the post-closing obligations of Live Oak as the Lead Agent.  Additionally, this role may help to support the syndications process, perform due diligence on partner banks, and underwrite loans in which Live Oak is participating. This position will work directly with multiple groups across the organization, while gaining experience with multiple industries, loan products, and loan structures, as well as build and maintain a meaningful network of bank relationships. </span></p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Do at Live Oak:</b></p><ul><li>Maintain a thorough familiarity of the syndicated loan portfolio, including loan balances, borrower-specific situations, credit quality, etc., with a mastered ability to generate reports for participant lenders.</li><li>Manage relationships with key participant banks by providing updates on their syndicated loan portfolios.</li><li>Create Confidential Information Memorandums, deal teasers, and other deal-specific marketing materials.</li><li>Underwrite and service other bank-led loans, in which LOB is a participant.</li><li>In accordance with the Loan Syndications Policy, track all applicable policy data monthly.</li><li>Adhere to the highest of ethical and professional standards in all circumstances.</li><li>Keeps abreast of economic conditions, changes in trends, and global events that could impact the capital markets.</li><li>Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (tracking data on spreadsheets, basic functions, data reporting).</li><li>Create, structure, and organize data rooms for all transactions.</li><li>In collaboration with Secondary Markets Operations and the loan team, manage the loan modification process, providing all requested information and documentation, detailed descriptions, and any other requests from the participants in a timely and professional manner.  </li><li><span>Autonomous development of new processes, reporting, and ways of thinking that advance group strategy. </span></li><li><span>Ability to step in for the Loan Syndications Officers in communicating with participants, including running pipeline calls, facilitating the underwriting process, and assisting in the settlement process. </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>How You’ll Do It  </b>     </p><ul><li>In accordance with established lending policies and procedures, and under the guidance of the Loan Syndications policy.</li><li>In collaboration with the Lenders, Underwriters, Credit, Closing, and the BAG.</li></ul><ul><li>Develop customer relationships through friendly, courteous and responsive service. </li><li>Develop understanding of commercial lending and USDA rules and procedures. May request specified information for loan applications. Responsible for assembling information required by Live Oak and counsel to properly close loans. Develops borrower relationships through friendly, courteous and responsive service. Develops understanding of commercial lending and USDA and SBA Program rules and procedures. Travels for site visits and trade shows as needed. </p><p>  </p><p><b>What You’ll Do at Live Oak</b></p><ul><li>While completing the application learns and applies elements of underwriting to include the analysis of applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine if loan requests meet Bank, SBA and USDA lending criteria. Learns to evaluate the sources of repayment on loan requests and do a competition analysis. </li><li>Prepares Budgets, economic analyses, and energy market statistics for loans, as assigned, to be reviewed and validated by a Senior Lender.</li><li>Learns bank policies and procedures as well as SBA and USDA regulations. Reviews loans for SBA and USDA eligibility and verifies same. </li><li>Completes the customer interview. Makes an assessment of the customer and resolves outstanding questions related to the transaction. </li><li>Develops expertise in use of Bank loan systems.
