MINDBODY is looking for a Copy Manager in our San Luis Obispo office who will lead our dynamic and innovative copy team on a wide variety of product and marketing initiatives, and advocate for our customers and their clients. Copy Managers are experienced writers, fluent in the art of conceptual design and collaborating, and have mastered the art of writing in multiple styles for various channels.  They’re comfortable presenting copy and concepts to clients and their ideas are fresh, strategic and always on brand. Passionate about language, natural problem solvers and in love with the craft of writing, Copy Managers inspire with words and serve as the standard bearer for the company’s brand messaging and identity. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:• BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or related field.• 7+ years digital copywriting experience.• Professional knowledge of English grammar and strong familiarity with various forms of style and composition.• Able to drive creative decisions, defend strategy, and draft original, compelling copy.• Able to take on responsibility, collaborate effectively, and work comfortably with stakeholders at all levels.• Excellent service and strong leadership skills, and 3+ years experience nurturing and fostering associate and mid-level talent.• Is comfortable collaborating with people from different creative disciplines and teams.• Project management experience.• Experience working in agile/scrum environment (preferred, not required)• UX know-how (preferred, not required).  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Pitch creative concepts to key stakeholders, synthesizing business requirements with brand direction.• Mentor fellow Copywriters to foster expertise and develop team talent.• Work closely with Creative Directors, UX Designers, Visual Designers, and fellow Copywriters to develop influential content, addressing design specifications and applying results gained from user testing and research.• Help build and maintain a brand voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all touch-points in the customer journey by creating standards, style guides, and processes.• Work closely with members of the Product Management and Marketing teams to align content strategy with target audience needs, brand positioning, and team resources.• Lead brainstorming and creation of concepts for best-in-class user experiences.• Work closely with Producers to schedule deadlines, and resolve resource and delivery issues.
