Counterparties include banks, asset managers, hedge funds, broker-dealers, and other financial institutions. The role relates directly to the firms Open Trading platform, whereby MarketAxess acts as counterparty to both the buyer and seller of bonds in a matched principal capacity, thereby taking on both financial and reputational risk. You will be part of a broader Global Team and will support and work directly with the Head of Credit & Market Risk for the EMEA & APAC region.General Support Responsibilities Include:Point Person / Sales Liaison for collating all relevant information needed for the on-boarding of new APAC OT accounts Writing Credit Memos for the Credit Committee to assess potential new counterparties: This involves analysing financial results and interpreting relevant metrics, while also considering qualitative aspects to assess overall creditworthiness Annual credit renewal analyses of existing counterparties, considering the individual business model, financial profile, and performance. Counterparties include banks, asset managers, hedge funds, broker-dealers, and other financial institutionsWorking closely with a variety of teams within the business in APAC especially, but also globally, including Sales; Settlements; Legal & Compliance and Client Services in order to ensure the smooth running of the APAC Credit ProcessTimely response and processing of temporary credit limit increase requestsDaily monitoring and reporting of global credit exposuresEnsuring that Credit systems are up to date with correct and relevant informationContributing to the Global Team strategic project initiativesSupporting the Head of Credit & Market Risk for the EMEA & APAC region in the overall management of the Credit & Market risk functionQualifications5-10 years of experience in a Credit Risk Analysis related role – which must include Bank and Non-Bank Financial Institutions University degree (expected 2.1 or above) – preferably Finance / Economics related Additional InformationSkills/Personal RequirementsHighly numerical and analyticalExcellent verbal and written communication skills High degree of detail orientationAble to see situations holistically, while also being able to distil information into key componentsSelf-starter able to work independently; takes initiative and is comfortable understanding and making credit risk related decisionsTeam player: Must be comfortable working with the greater global team, as well as being able to relate to a variety of stakeholders at various levels of seniority throughout the firmAbility to understand, monitor and react to intraday portfolio exposures as aggregated by MarketAxess’ internal systemsExcellent proficiency in MS Office – notably Word and ExcelEligibility to work in Singapore or Hong Kong LanguagesEnglish At least one APAC-related language would be highly beneficialI'm interestedI'm interestedPrivacy Policy
