It's infuriating to witness every other department in the NYC office clock out at 5pm while the entire CX department is shackled to 9am-6pm. Spending about 90% of the work week catering to customers is exhausting and draining. We demand flexibility in scheduling or at the very least, a shift to 9am-5pm. Regarding salary, living paycheck to paycheck at a tech company in NYC is utterly deplorable. The pay range for CX roles is embarrassingly low compared to our competitors. If the company truly values customer satisfaction (as it claims), then it must start by paying its CX staff a livable wage across the board. We are the frontline warriors in customer communication and we demand fair compensation for our invaluable contributions. As for engagement surveys, they're a nice gesture, but they're meaningless when fundamental issues like the ones mentioned above are repeatedly brought to leadership's attention and ignored. It's the colossal elephant in the room that leadership chooses to sweep under the rug. Listen to your department, acknowledge our concerns, and take action. Kind and down to earth c-suite leadership stocks:) bonus is determined by the percentage of the year's goals - and they set their objectives very very high. getting raises and equal pay to market value can be a struggle - but this is departmental.
