In this role, you will receive specimens, prepare them for testing and analysis, and perform filing to finish the case. You will research, troubleshoot, and resolve histology related inquiries and problems within the laboratory. This position requires you to produce the highest quality of embedding, microtomy, tissue grossing, tissue processing, and H&E staining, special staining and equipment maintenance.This shift for this career opportunity will be Tuesday through Saturday Tuesday - Saturday 9:00am - 5:30pm.Receive specimens of tissue and ensure proper accessioning and labeling of all tissue samplesProcess paperwork associated with accessioning and reportingPrepare tissue specimens with chemicals, slicing, and mounting on glass slides for microscopic examination and analysisEmbed processed tissue in paraffinPerform coverslipping of stained slides either manually or automatedHelps maintain acceptable productivity, TAT and workflowReports problems concerning individual cases, tests, equipment, and supplies to the department supervisor or lead technologist to ensure timely resolutionResponds promptly to pathologists, technologists, and administrative requestsResponsible for maintaining the laboratory in a clean, functional state, as well as cleaning, performing or scheduling equipment and instrument maintenance/calibration/certificationDemonstrate initiative in making suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity and provides consistent feedbackAide in preparing the laboratory for inspections from regulatory institutionsExperience & Required Qualifications:Education: You will need an Associates degree in the field and to have complete a one year internship or a long-term training program in a histopathology lab.Experience: We prefer you have 1+ years equivalent experience as a Histotechnician for this position.Nationally: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP)Basic knowledge of laboratory techniquesPossesses appropriate computer skills to accomplish tasksAbility to communicate effectivelyGood social skills and attention to detailMotivated to maintain production and quality standardsMotivated to work independently and within a team environmentAble to work in a biohazard environment and follow safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety ManualGood visual acuity including color perception required for certain departmentsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds

Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory!Core Responsibilities:Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of RedHat Linux, Ubuntu and Windows on various hardware platforms.Setting up Kubernetes cluster (AKS) with node pools, vertical & horizontal scaling, and network level configurations.Automate deployment process with CI/CD pipelinesSetup centralized logging and monitoring of Azure resources using event hubsMonitor and fine-tune the utilization of Azure resourcesIdentify and remediate security and performance issues at multiple layers of deployment for applicationsRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree or 6+ years relevant developer experienceAzure Solutions Architect Expert certification requiredExperience:3+ years hands-on experience in the following areas:Cloud-based technologies, specifically with Azure and demonstrated experience leading Azure resources and environments.Using Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps (TFS)Setting up new environments using infrastructure-as-code using Azure CLI, templates, PowerShell, Bash and Python.Configuring and Managing logging and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Splunk or ELK.Developing CI/CD scripts using Jenkins or Azure PipelinesAzure Cloud Services, Azure Storage, Azure database for MySQL and in different PaaS Solutions with Web and Azure Web Apps.Micro services architecture, Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Docker images using a Docker file, worked on container snapshots, removing Images and managing Docker volumes. Orchestration of Docker images and Containers using Kubernetes by crafting master and node.Qualification Requirements:Effective communication, documentation, managing delivery timelines, handle multiple projects and multitasking skills are a mustUnderstands networking technologies and protocols used for web-based applications, load balancing technologies, application filtering, high availability, and dynamic scaling.Strong knowledge of Backup, Restore, Disaster Recovery and high availability strategies for Azure environments.Familiarity with setting up WSO2 products such as API Manger and Identity Server in Kubernetes cluster.Familiarity with configuring InterSystems IRIS database and Health Share in a cluster environment.Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and follow-up skillsAbility to work independently and as a teammateBe able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standardsAbility to handle stressful situations and demonstrate a potential for strong problem solving skills

Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory.Position Summary:The Logistics Technician will ensure proper handling of all specimens received and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. This position includes such functions as matching patient information, data entry, and scanning documents. This is entry level in the Logistics job category, and employees perform the full range of specimen processing procedures.The objective for this role is to achieve desired level of competency and accuracy for the main department processes within 6 months. We will work productively and expertly to achieve company and departmental goals, as well as accurately follow Logistics Department SOPs for specimen handling, processing and shipping. You will assist in Accessioning as necessary.Receives and sorts specimens for testingReviews all requisitions for missing information, works closely with Accessioning and Client Services to obtain missing information in a timely manner and distributes new information to all departments involvedUses company platforms to effectively communicate with internal staffRemains informed of all procedure changes pertaining to sample processingPerforms quality assurance checks of incoming or outgoing samples.Attends department meetings and company in-service trainings to improve knowledge on testing and systemsReturns slides and blocks to clientsUtilize chain of custody logs for slides and blocks, ensure appropriate chain of custody for blocks and slides is followed. Lead Q/C workflow and reconciliation of blocks and the block logIdentify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as requiredFollow Department’s procedures including specimen routing and handling. Recognize and take appropriate action in response to missing or lost blocks/slides and communicate these to Lead, Supervisor or Manager. Implement lost block/slide process to locate missing blocks/slides as requiredWorks effectively with other departments to resolve and troubleshoot problemsAdditional Responsibilities (may be assigned):Maintains or assists in maintaining inventory of the departmentMay assist with coordinating trash and biohazard waste pick-ups and maintains documentation when necessaryReceives incoming supplies and inventory to meet department needs.Serves as point of contact for the department; coordinates incoming and outgoing courier shipments, department mail and answers phone.Assists management and technical staff with administrative duties as neededExperience & Required Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: Minimum one (1) +years of experience equivalent to an Accessioning Technician preferredProficient with MS Office programsAbility to communicate effectivelyStrong interpersonal skills and attention to detailAbility to work independentlyThis role will work in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards.Additionally, you will be in at times a biohazard environment and align with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual.
