This is a bank of secrets. Who has slept with who to get where they are. Lots of secrets within the bank. Everything is always covered up when a manager is caught having an affair with another manager. If you produce good numbers you can pretty much do whatever you want, no ethics. Management is very petty and speaks down to you. I have worked in most of the branches and they are all the same. There are no procedures for anything yet you are held accountable for everything you do. If you make a mistake, you should have known what to do. How? When there are no clear cut instructions on how to do something? You have to rely on the knowledge of everyone else to get by. If you shed light on a real issue, don't expect to be recognized. The raises are awful. 5-20 cents a year. They are bringing in new people and paying them more than current employees when current employees are the backbone of the company. Open accounts, take loan applications. Small, but growing company. The customers are great and the work is generally easy to do. The hours are really great as well. Most locations are under staffed which can put strain on the employees. Our long time customers are very loyal to the bank and love the staff, they treat us great. The company is growing and buying more branches and adding more staff. Communication seems to be more clear with newer updated systems, more rules and people being more responsible for their actions. Our CEO is a wonderful man who has a genuine look when he speaks to the staff and tells us what we do is important. We have lost excellent staff! And hired people from failed banks probably at a higher rate- that the other staff would have gladly accepted had it been offered! A lot of current employees took"demotions" from back office to retail and vice versa. Raises are rare- and bad. Current technology and systems. Open your hearing new ideas for promotions. CEO Quinn is a genuine executive who cares about his people. Recent shift to expansion has caused some of the service to decline. Loss of experienced back office support. (medical, 401k, life, LTD disability, PTO) Most of the positions allow for a decent work/life balance (incumbent upon your manager). Bank does profit sharing (15% of your salary); however they need to make money first which hasn't happened in 2 years. Some very nice people to work with. Dental was extremely weak/non-existent Salaries tend to be less than market. Culture of cronyism/nepotism (more than usual for most organizations). Weak leadership from upper management. Morale has deteriorated significantly over the last 12-18 months.
