I completely enjoyed my time with Redbox. Working at a large company does come with its up and downs. Corporate seemed to push unrealistic things our way and didn't understand what field work really is. At the end of the day the field service reps made redbox tick. Without us the company would fold up. Pay was ok but as a field service rep 2 and managing several merchandizers the compensation could have been higher for that extra workload. Advancement within the field is non existent. You ware what you're hired to do. They trusted you to do your job and get things going. But since other companies started utilizing redbox its been hard to feel appreciated. You work independently and theirs generally help when you need it. Some back stabbing from other techs on occasions. Covid killed this coin counting company with a coin shortage. Hours reduced to 13 hours a week and you couldn't use your PTO time. Low pay took its toll so I retired. Easy job, I kept busy until Covid Back stabing tech, Covid's drastically reduced hours ordered by managment killed the job. Redbox is everywhere. Most are outside, so rain or shine the machine get repaired. They provide a nice uniform budget to get you going. They provide most of the necessary hand tools and an SUV all paid for. I was very sorry to leave, health and COVID issues required it. Everything you need to be productive, Nice SUV to haul around all the tools and spare parts. I went out and bought a van due to this promise. Full time never happened. When the company made us fill out a third party survey, I mentioned the full time promise not materializing and soon was experiencing reduced hours on my route. Locations were being taken away from me. I was being retaliated against for my review which was supposed to be anonymous. I always received a 5 on all my reviews and goals met, which is the highest you can get. A new supervisor even said to me, that he was sorry for what happened to me, which told me it was retaliation. It was a shame because I loved this job before all this happened and would still be there today, if that did not happen to me. Worked alone and able to meet my goals.
