With your help, we can advance our state-of-the-art protection mechanisms and keep ahead of an ever-changing threat landscape.</p><p> </p><p><b>Your day-to-day</b></p><ul><li>The Staff Software Engineers in the tool & data science group are responsible for creating tools for analyzing and presenting a large and disparate set of real-world data to determine what types of threats are affecting our customers.</li><li>One must have an inquisitive mind with the ability to learn where the data exists in a large and disparate system and what that data means. </li><li>One will hone their ability to create tools that programmatically turn data into usable information.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What you bring to the team</b></p><ul><li>Recent hands-on experience with working with Javascript/React. We have other engineers who can help frame out front-ends, but you may still be involved in creating or extending front-ends for your services.</li><li>Recent hands-on experience with at least one NoSQL database (e.g. MongoDB, ElasticSearch) required. We work with a wide variety of internal users, and this job is hands-on. So one day you’ll be meeting with a senior threat intelligence researcher to better understand what we need to build in order to better meet those needs. The next day, you might be writing and releasing code to make some part of our data newly visible to threat analysts.</li><li>3+ years with writing Javascript code for applications running in a public cloud environment. </li><li>BSCS or greater in relevant technical field with 7 years of experience , or 9+ years experience in a similar role. </li><li>Recent hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL (MariaDB, MySQL, etc.) required.</li><li>Recent hands-on experience with AWS serverless computing (including SQS/Lambda pipelines and Glue/Spark) not required but very helpful. PRE-ATT&CK tactics and techniques know-how is desired as well. </p><p>• Familiarity with Unix environments and comfort with a range of Unix command line tools for manipulating and extracting content from text files. </p><p>• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey highly technical information in an accessible manner.</p><p>• Experience with Perl, especially advanced regular expressions and Unix command line invocations. </p><p>• General familiarity with how mail delivery works, including SMTP. </p><p>• Willingness to play an important technical role that does NOT primarily involve development although Python coding skills are desirable, but not a must. </p><p>• In-depth knowledge of email borne threats: phishing, malware, spam. <p style="text-align:left"><span class="emphasis">It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><i>We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.</i></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>The Role</b></p><p>We are seeking a Secure Development Lead experienced with different programming languages and an in-depth understanding of software security to join our core detection team.</p><p>Our team is responsible for supporting the various detection products while working with each development team to understand their architecture, make security recommendations, and be able to facilitate security approvals to ensure that architectural changes follow secure development Best Practices. This leadership and hands-on position will require the candidate to be able to work with the development teams as necessary to assist with the implementation of security recommendations, from architect discussions to pair programming as necessary.</p><p>The ideal candidate should have a thirst for technology with extensive development experience and a proven knowledge of addressing security concerns in software design and development. As a Secure Development Lead, you will be expected to drive the security process. This includes educating the development teams on the process, continued meetings with teams to stay abreast of their technical direction, ensuring compliance with our secure development practices at company level. The ideal candidate will take charge of this initiative and bring their own successes to the teams to ensure all teams follow these Best Practices.</p><p> </p><p><b>Your day to day </b></p><p>• Work with the technical leads on each project to fully understand the existing and proposed architecture.</p><p>• Work with the Application Security team (aka GIS) to keep the Core Detection teams plugged into the corporate security vision.</p><p>• Work with DevOps to review deployment configurations and scripts.</p><p>• Help architect / develop coding solutions to assist in teams meeting the security requirements.</p><p> </p><p><b>What you bring to the team</b></p><p>• Security expert in the area of secure development, in particular Agile SW dev Lifecycle practices, secure coding, threat modeling, fuzz testing, privacy.</p><p>• 7+ years of development experience with Java, C/C++, GO, Ruby, or Python.</p><p>• 7+ years working with distributed software.</p><p>• 5+ years designing and/or architecting SAAS solutions.</p><p>• 5+ years of software security lead experience.</p><p>• Security operations background that supports your understanding of security-specific tool needs (e.g. detection, forensics, log normalization, privilege separation, etc.)</p><p>• BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or a related technical field</p><p>• Solid understanding of CI/CD and working with tools like Jenkins or similar.</p><p>• Experience writing both component integration tests as well as end-to-end acceptance tests.</p><p>• Solid understanding of RESTful web service architecture.</p><p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.</p><p>• AWS experience.</p><p>• Desired: Cloud native development expertise</p><p></p><p>#LI-AN1</p><p></p><p></p><p><i>If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!</i></p>

This role will target accounts within Turkey (region to be defined).</p><p></p><p>The Named Account Manager will team up with our world class Sales Organisation and our Channels Sales Organisation to introduce Proofpoint to new customers, as well as to expand our presence with companies who are already part of our existing customer base.</p><p></p><p>The candidate who will best fit our culture will take great pride in delivering for customers and act with honesty and integrity.
