Join us! </p><p> </p><p><strong>Summary of Role/Position</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be part of the team that is responsible for improving and maintaining the infrastructure of CarParts.com and its presence. </p><p><br></p><p>YOU WILL</p><ul type="disc"><li>Responsible for working in a global 24x7 Security Operation Center (SOC) environment which consists of an in-house and outsourced SOC.</li><li>Perform real-time alert monitoring and risk mitigation.</li><li>Ability to understand and correlate data from multiple sources, not limited to user authentication events, windows security event logs, syslog, NetFlow data, DHCP logs, DNS logs, intrusion detections alerts, proxy logs, packet captures, and firewall events.</li><li>Triage and validate security alerts and escalate incidents, as required.</li><li>Troubleshoot system misconfigurations and recommend best practices for remediation</li><li>Take initiative in evaluating, proposing, and deploying various detection capabilities.</li><li>Integrate and share information with other analysts and other teams.</li><li>Deliver status reports, briefings, recommendations, and findings to management as required.</li><li>Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, and technical security solutions (firewall, proxy, intrusion detection systems).</li><li>Solid Understanding of TCP/IP, the OSI Model, and underlying Protocols.</li><li>Strong experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk.</li><li>Manage internal vulnerability scanning and testing tools.</li><li>Supports both internal and external audits as they relate to application, system access, and security administration.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>YOU MUST HAVE</u> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English.</li><li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Education or experience working with SIEM tools, ticketing systems, and cyber security analytics.</li><li>5-10+ years' experience as a Security/Network Administrator or equivalent knowledge. </li><li>5+ years’ experience, managing Security Operations Center (SOC)</li><li>3+ years’ experience managing EDR solutions</li><li>3+ years’ experience managing next-gen firewalls</li><li>3+ years’ experience managing Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud</li></ul><p> </p><p>At CarParts.com we understand and value diversity in our employees and are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. This position ensures performance metrics are achieved by providing adequate coaching, motivation, and accountability.</p><p><br></p><p><u>YOU WILL</u></p><ul><li>Be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a group of Data Analysts including work and attendance monitoring in accordance with organization policy and applicable legal requirements.</li><li>Effectively coach direct reports on their performance on a regular basis to ensure performance metrics are achieved</li><li>Identify performance related issues, develop an action plan for improvement, implement corrective action, up to and including termination of employment.</li><li>Ensure service delivered to stake holder meets contractual Key Performance Indicator (‘KPIs’) and financial expectations</li><li>Communicate expectations to employees and provide timely updates.</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise in handling escalated issues as needed.</li><li>Conduct Team Meetings to ensure expedient communication of relevant information and as an open forum for input. Schedule and organize team activities.</li><li>Stay current on internal work processes, policies, and procedures. Attend required manager development training.</li><li>Promote the CarParts.com values through both behavior and attitude, including being an advocate for team members.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>YOU MUST HAVE</u></p><ul><li>College Degree in Business, Marketing or related area preferred. Commensurate work experience considered.</li><li>At least two years prior experience working with computers and experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and use of the Internet.</li><li>Strong conversational English, verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Previous experience in dealing/ handling a group of not less than 12 people</li><li>Expert in Microsoft tools most specifically Excel</li><li>Must be a good listener, enthusiastic, energetic, and creative as it relates to resolving employee issues.</li><li>Ability to function in a rapidly changing and evolving work environment.</li><li>Must be able handle multiple priorities simultaneously.</li><li>Ability to build productive business relationships with peers.</li><li>Must develop and display good decision-making skills as it relates to thinking on one’s feet. </li><li>Adept in analyzing and interpreting statistical data, focusing on details, relating various pieces of information together, identifying trends, and understanding the reasons behind problems as well as successes.</li><li>Has the ability to effectively interact with team members with diverse backgrounds and temperaments, demonstrating a genuine interest in team members, maintaining open lines of communication with team members, and being an advocate for team members.</li><li>Can prioritize work activities, completing multiple tasks within short timelines, meeting deadlines, effectively handling frequent interruptions, and following up on commitments in a timely manner. </li><li>Strong understanding of HR policies and guidelines.</li><li>Must be able to formulate templates that would assist in evaluating performance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>At CarParts.com we understand and value diversity in our employees and are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
