This individual will be responsible for assisting with premium audits on workers' compensation products. Preference is given to individuals with full-time availability.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Review audit submissions and request additional info from the insured as needed</li>
<li>Maintain compliance of premium audit processes utilizing the established departmental guidelines</li>
<li>Work with outside audit vendor(s) when physical audits are requested</li>
<li>Conduct follow-up calls on outstanding audits when necessary</li>
<li>Answer phone calls in the Premium Audit phone queue and provide excellent customer service</li>
<li>Work with Accounting and Underwriting department as needed</li>
<li>Maintain cohesive working relationships with all areas of the corporation</li>
<li>Assist the Premium Audit Supervisor with other work as assigned</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Skills/Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Recently completed or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics or insurance</li>
<li>Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products</li>
<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Requires 40 hours of availability per week</li>
<li>Preference will be given to students with junior standing, full-time availability and a minimum GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale</li>

<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>Protective Insurance seeks a full-time Premium Auditor I for its Premium Audit Department in Carmel, Ind. This individual will be responsible for performing premium audits on the Workers' Compensation policies and providing excellent customer service to insureds.</p>

<p><strong>Primary Duties</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Process premium audits for all Workers’ Compensation policies when expired or cancelled</li>
<li>Maintain compliance of the premium audit process utilizing the established departmental guidelines</li>
<li>Conduct follow-up calls on outstanding audits when necessary</li>
<li>Review audit submissions and request additional information from the insured as needed</li>
<li>Work with outside audit vendor(s) when physical audits are requested</li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service at all times</li>
<li>Work with the Accounting Department and Underwriting Department as needed</li>

<p><strong>Skills/Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Degree in accounting or math or equivalent work experience in premium auditing preferred</li>
<li>Completion of the ISO/PAAS TAPS online course within 3 months of employment</li>
<li>Property and casualty license and/or applicable insurance certification(s) preferred</li>
<li>Completion of Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) 91 and APA 92 preferred</li>
<li>Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products</li>
<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>
</ul>
