Join us to make a difference!Culture – as a Startup, we are looking for Leaders that want to create an organization and structure where you can make an impact, have your voice heard, ambitious to step up to dynamic challenges and be accountable, for your results.  As a member of the Electrical Systems group, the Diagnostics Engineer – Vehicle is responsible for defining vehicle on board diagnostic functionality.  This position will receive supervision from the Manager of E/E Systems.Lead development of UDS diagnostic requirements for vehicle subsystemsCreate and release the UDS diagnostic file in *.CDD and *.ODX formatFacilitate the creation of module specific diagnostic specifications for each electrical componentLead definition of vehicle level failure mode effects management actions Lead subsystem ‘bench-level’ functional testing of diagnostic systems at the module level to assure functionality Lead development of the Diagnostic Trouble Code list and calibration parametersSupport the creation of the component technical requirements for subsystem electronic componentsSupport the validation of the complete vehicle systemSupport vehicle issue resolution activities during development, vehicle launch, and post SOP serviceCreate, review, and approve change request documentation, technical specifications, and validation test plansSupport development of the Vehicle Message MatrixSupport HIL activities related to diagnostic functionality Work with component and vehicle network engineers to ensure VMM compliance and compatibilityWork with Tier-1 suppliers to assure component level compliance to diagnostic specificationSupport vehicle subsystem issue resolution activities during development, vehicle launch, and post SOP serviceCreate and review change request documentation and validation test plansDefine the required diagnostics and calibrations for use during the final assembly processSupport the development of the LMC diagnostic tool platform for the factory and service Requirements Minimum of 5 years automotive vehicle diagnostics system development experienceBS Electrical Engineering required; master’s degree preferredHigh level of oral and written communication skillsProblem solving experience where issues are unusual and difficultPrevious OEM and automotive experience Knowledge of CAN, LIN and Ethernet protocolsFamiliarity with requirements documentation tools such as Polarion or Doors.  Preferred Qualifications: Hybrid or Electric Vehicle experienceFamiliarity with the light to mid-duty truck segment features such as trailer tow, cargo lighting, and up-fitters featuresMasters in Electronic/Systems Engineering Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO-26262)Knowledge of MATLAB/ Simulink or other model-based programming methodologies Knowledge of SYSML or other systems development methodologiesProficient in one or more relevant programming languages Oct 22nd, 2020 08:20AM Oct 22nd, 2020 08:20AM Lordstown Motors
