My department (Technology) was completely separate from the rest of the bank, so my experience is probably different from most Renasant employees in many ways. Overall Renasant has a typical small-town corporate vibe. Renasant does a good job of considering current employees for promotions, as opposed to hiring externally. The best part of working at Renasant was the freedom from micromanagement and flexibility of work hours, taking time off, etc.||Without a doubt the worst part about working at Renasant is the low pay. It seems to be an issue across the company, as I've seen dozens of talented people leave for better pay elsewhere. It's really a shame because Renasant is a great place to work, otherwise. After several years in my position I still made far less than the average starting salary for my job role. No raises are given based on actual merit, from what I can tell. I was always given a very meager raise (usually 2%-3% of my annual salary), which of course is not even enough to be considered a cost of living adjustment.
