My seven years at Salem Media Group have been very rewarding. I joined Salem as part of an acquisition of a privately held company in 2014. The uncertainty of a transition to a publicly traded company was assuaged by the support and reception we received from management during the transition. Many teammates believe in the mission Salem espouses which make the efforts one puts in seem like much more than work. One can feel like they are truly making a difference in the areas that their content affects. Although they have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders, this company is very straightforward on their mission and value statement to their employees and the communities that they serve. I am SO proud to be part of this company and tell everyone I know. My co-workers feel the same way. It is truly a great place to work. I hear that they are much the same as my experience. Mgt is obsessively focused on cost cutting--- to the point of losing clients & profits and good employees. . Forget about pay raises... new employees = minimum wage for skilled work. Mgt is unpredictable & random.
