Small bank now merged into a larger one; it still maintains a familial atmosphere.

The corporation in itself is ok, but can definitely do better. When it comes to location, just keep in mind to put it politely, Small towns breed small minds and the Good Ol Boy system is in FULL effect. All in all, everything works off “who you know” instead of “what you can do”..The pay is not worth the amount of BS you take from egotistical hillbillies who know nothing, but knows everybody!

Was totally taken advantage of by my supervisor. Harassment. I worked my butt off while the other tellers were on their phones, etc. Almost sued!
I waited on customers making deposits and withdrawals. I learned how to run different banking software. The culture was great til I started to absolutely get taken advantage of and nothing was ever done no matter how much I brought it up. The hardest part of the job was being treated very differently and letting other tellers walk all over me. The best part of the job was the Christmas parties and the yearly bonuses

State Bank was a solid and dependable employer. The biggest gripe was having to fight for every dime I knew I was worth. They are more than happy to exploit talent without offering commensurate compensation.

I had no complaints at all. I really enjoyed working there. They treated you like family and genuinely cared about there employees. The atmosphere was down to earth. we worked as a team. My manager was a wonderful boss.
