What is the best part of working at the company?
There policy's and procedures are next to perfect. Quality of the products we serve are next to none. And lastly the money is pretty good as well.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being short staffed. And not much support from upper mgt. Meaning DM and above.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fast paced and very stressful at times.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10 to 12 hour days, staffing is a huge problem just like it is every where else I'm assuming. No body wants to work.

Stressful workplace with great encouragement
|
My time working at Wendyâs was stressful, though not because of the job itself. The tasks given are easy and straightforward. My coworkers were my friends and amazing motivators in both my work and personal life. The stress in this job comes from the customers itself, in short theyâre very rude and entitled I personally believe they donât even think us workers are even people. Iâve had to watch some of my former coworkers breakdown in front of me due to how a customer berated them, and these workers were types to not be so easily swayed by their emotions especially because of someone else. The only reason I kept working in such a stressful environment was because of the people I worked with. they are amazing people and truly care about you not just as a worker but as a person. I didnât get paid enough to continue taking that treatment from customers as well so I left. Many of my coworkers who worked there for years received lower pay than me which is in my opinion ridiculous. Although this is all my personal opinion for the store I worked at I canât say every store will be like this but this was what I experienced personally.

Poor management
|
Management is very one sided and rudely demanding. Unless you're friends from the jump or willing to be a snake you won't last long. Their care for the people and business alone is just sad. Scheduling was always done with favoritism and things done and said with no remorse or disregard. For it to be a new store the amount of behind the scenes drama, disrespect, and tears was ridiculous.

nice coworkers/ somewhat toxic environment

issues with flies, not very clean depending on who is in charge & what manger is there that day
they tend to take advantage of younger employees if they donât stand up
coworkers can slack in work
overall: very depressing atmosphere & GM seems to have favorites; they can overwork you if you donât say anything

Wendy's is not real hard work and it doesn't take a genius to do the work.
|
They're a fast food restaurant and they will never go out of business but they don't pay enough and absolutely hate when someone is in overtime. No overtime what so ever. I feel like they don't appreciate all the work the crew does to make the company money!

Love my coworkers and bosses but they need to invest more money here

Get along really well with my coworkers. Management in store absolutely cares for their employees and goes well out of there way for them. Very good atmosphere to work in. Company needs to put some money in the place though. Old building with wear and equipment needs updating bad.

Best of a basic job
|
It's a very simple yet repetitive job that pays minimum wage. Yet I think this is the best way to do it. I got discounted food and free drinks every shift. The tasks although boring I never got stressed for too long as rushes were spread out alot of nights. Some days are better than others with tasks to do. But I enjoy the routine as it doesn't change very often. My schedule was reliable and I was able to take days off as needed. I'd say for a first job or even something to get some extra cash this job is very nice
