The job itself wasn’t easy and expectations were high. Lots of KPIs and the culture changed from one where your goal was to really hear the customer and help them to how many tickets can you produce. In the end they laid us all off.

Chill, fast-paced work environment

Good place to start out your career in tech/sales. Work was really chill for the most part and my team was really friendly. Biggest con was the relatively low pay (within the context of the tech industry). Seemed to provide ample support for personal and professional development across the company.

Great People, Good Products, Broken Promises
|
Typical day: User support via Calls, Tickets, Chat. Probably wearing multiple hats on top of normal responsibilities.
What you learned: Working in high volume user support at a tech company with many products. Working on and managing interdepartmental projects. Minor web technology.
Management: Is out of touch with how much work people do in support - evidenced by meeting profits with layoffs. Being told often that your department is extremely important only goes so far.
Workplace culture: Mostly good - coworkers are almost all good, friendly, smart, genuinely helpful people. There can be cliques, mostly within mid and lower level management. The "work" culture however is always wanting for more, never being good enough, and not acknowledging achievement past a pat on the back. However, it's likely your direct manager is a great person which makes the situation difficult.
The hardest part of the job: Loyalty is not returned in kind from upper management. Hard work is only met with more work, and burnout is real (unless you want to clock in and out and only do your stated job - even if done well - is still frowned upon). Lots of roadblocks to progress unless the solutions come from above.
The most enjoyable part of the job: I met some of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I have learned more than I hoped for about large scale user facing support and corporate culture.

It’s hands down the best work environment I’ve ever been in. Love my coworkers and our leadership is fantastic. We’ve been on a salary freeze for a while which is tough with inflation, but job-wise, it’s the best I’ve ever had.

Wix has great entry level roles if youre just starting out your career. They have an excellent management and promote a health work life balance. This coupled with the option to remote or go in person makes it a perfect fit. Hours can be long.

Great to meh

Used to be a unicorn job. Great, helpful teammates, good onboarding, pay was decent, metrics were lax. Genuinely felt like it was abt product support. Things went downhill this year... micromanagent, pay freezes, soft sales KPIs, useless hall cop managers. Despite this it's still OK, but you'd want to be in a really good team that values you and safeguards you from the bs. If your manager's a dope you're done for.
