PE is gutting a once-great company
|
It’s a very different company now compared to just a few years ago. Advancement opportunities that seemed abundant back then are scarce at best. Top performers have noticed and started dropping like flies, while backfill, promotions, and new head count have to get sign off from a dozen different groups.
Salaries are usually alright, but the perks are pretty great and your coworkers will be some of the most amazing people you’ll meet.
Overall, if you are happy with the compensation package offered at the start and don’t have much ambition beyond that, you can grind out your core job and cash a paycheck for years. If you’re ambitious and want to get ahead, maybe look somewhere else. Extra effort is rarely given more than an “atttaboy”.

Qualtrics' culture is hard to nail because of recently being acquired by private equity. It's a weird mix of feeling "laid back" but also feeling like you have to look over your shoulder.
For sales specifically, it's a difficult product to sell. Most AEs do not hit while most SDRs do, which is a jarring transition for some to make.

Both departments I worked in had great teams and management. The leadership tried really hard to help people feel heard but I wasn’t a huge fan of how the layoffs went down either time while I was there.
