Convenient distance from my house. Nice co-workers. Good pay. Quarterly raises. Casual dress code. I didn’t like the short lunch. The work instructions was not laid out clearly. Some supervisors wasn’t very knowledgeable on a lot of work queues. Start and finish times.

During training they show you all the good stuff but when that’s over the trauma begins. The pay doesn’t match the amount of work you have to do. $16/hr is not enough. The best thing was the benefits and the cost of health insurance but since cvs took over it’s not all that great. The good thing was weekends off and you didn’t work past 6 unless you got stuck on a call.

Good company. It has its pros and cons, more pros compared to competitor companies. It’s hard to move up unless you apply for a position outside of your department. The health insurance is extremely high considering we work for a health insurance coming.

You are always busy. The environment is great. Everyone is always eager to help you if you get stuck on a call. I have learned a lot about insurance during my time at Aetna. I'm not a fan of being micromanaged. You're timed when you're away from your computer. I feel like I can't go to the restroom in peace because of it. Sometimes the pay isn't worth all of the stress the members put us through.

precert case review far more complex and detailed than when i started, stress level very high, also the audit you're work on the back end. Extremely difficult to take earned PTO as they only allow a certain amount of nurses off per day. Was laid off Nov. 2020 through massive Aetna reorganization.

It’s okay for entry level

No room to move up unless you’re a favorite. Pay is terrible for what you have to deal with.
Hours aren’t bad. Major holidays off and weekends off. Management can be a joke most times
