<p><span>Reporting to the Project Manager the Senior Project Engineer - Phase III is responsible to manage key relationships with all project team members, consultants, contractors and Alamos Stakeholders to ensure consistent compliance with project plan and timely response and resolution to project changes.</span></p>
<p><strong><span>Key Responsibilities:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span> </span></span></span><span>Management of Engineering Consultants</span></li>
<li><span><span><span> </span></span></span><span>Provide design input to engineering consultants.</span></li>
<li><span>Review and develop specifications, detailed scopes of work and tender documents.</span><span><span><span> </span></span></span></li>
<li><span>Coordinate efforts internally within operations team during planning, design, construction, and commissioning</span></li>
<li><span>Coordination and management of contractors, consultants as required.<span> </span></span></li>
<li><span>Project follow up: site visits, quality control, cost control and adherence to plan.</span></li>
<li><span>Managing project execution schedule.</span></li>
<li><span>Analysis and reporting of cost, scope and schedule status to the project team and stakeholders.</span></li>
<li><span>Developing project dashboards for stakeholders at all levels</span></li>
<li><span>Managing project timelines, tracking and performance scorecards</span></li>
<li><span>Recognize project changes.<span> </span>Document and initiate change control management procedures to evaluate and impact changes on cost, time and scope.</span><span><span><span> </span></span></span></li>
<li><span>Recommend courses of action designed to maintain schedule and control project costs.</span></li>
<li><span>Lead continuous improvement efforts in relation with construction projects.</span></li>
<li><span>Support RFQs and RFPs process including preparation, review, analysis, and selection.</span></li>
<li><span>Coaching and mentorship of younger team members;</span></li>
<li>Provide input to scoping studies, pre-feasibility studies and feasibility studies, including completion of AFE’s and economic justifications for projects</li>
<li>Participate in corporate development activities as required and other projects such as scoping and feasibility studies as required.</li>
<li>Other tasks as required.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span>Qualifications:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span>BSc in Mining Engineering </span><span>with minimum 4 year of underground mining or project experience.</span></li>
<li><span><span><span> </span></span></span><span>Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible for PEO registration. </span></li>
<li><span>Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent highly regarded.</span></li>
<li><span>Previous consulting, EPCM or contractor experience is preferred.</span></li>
<li><span>Excellent knowledge of surface and underground construction methods highly regarded.</span></li>
<li><span>Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</span></li>
<li><span>The incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.<span> </span></span></li>
<li><span>Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required. </span></li>
<li><span><span><span> </span></span></span><span>Experience with scheduling applications (Primavera P6) and project management applications would be an asset.</span></li>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #515151;">R</span><span style="color: black;">eporting to Island Gold’s Shaft Area Project Manager, the Project Engineer will be involved with the engineering procurement and construction management of the construction activities associated with the Shaft and Shaft Area complex.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #515151;">Key Responsibilities:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="color: #515151;"><span>Participate and manage various aspects of the Phase 3 Shaft Area engineering and construction including but not limited to:</span>

<li style="color: #515151;"><span>Technical diploma with extensive experience is an acceptable substitute to a bachelor’s degree.</span></li>
<li style="color: #515151;"><span>5 years of progressive engineering, project management and construction experience in the mining industry.</span></li>
<li style="color: #515151;"><span>Experience in shaft sinking is highly regarded.</span></li>
<li style="color: #515151;"><span>The individual should have demonstrated leadership ability, a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.</span></li>
<li style="color: #515151;"><span>Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.</span></li>
<li style="color: #515151;"><span>Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with site and corporate personnel.</span></li>
<li style="color: #515151;"><span>Computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, scheduling and spreadsheet applications.</span></li>

<p>This position is based at the Island Gold site working on a rotation schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. Flights are available from the GTA (Skyservice Business Aviation), Sudbury and Rouyn-Noranda, QC.</p>
