The Role

The Superintendent II will assist more senior Superintendents on the day to day responsibilities of multi-family residential and mixed use construction projects from start to finish. He or she will take responsibility and manage several components of the project. The Superintendent II is generally capable of managing multiple scopes/trades within the project up to $49 million in size.

The Role

The Senior Systems Engineer helps to meet company needs for computer hardware, software, networking and servers technologies. This position develops, tests, installs, configures, and troubleshoots computer hardware, software, network devices, servers, including producing documentation, diagrams, and detailed procedures. The Senior Systems Engineer works well independently, balancing work between the corporate office, remote locations and data centers.

Responsibilities / Skills to have:

  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems that support core business functions
  • Microsoft Windows Administration on prem and / or on the cloud, powershell knowledge, Azure infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies such as SSO, federated identity, SAML, Azure AD and cloud based email / SharePoint administration
  • Vmware / vsphere and / or Microsoft Hyper-V knowledge
  • Monitor systems to achieve optimum performance levels consistently and aligned with business needs, while following IT policies and procedures
  • Assist in the establishment of input/output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of the systems in the enterprise

You Have...

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred. Equivalent certification and/or work experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years of experience as a systems or network engineering role, in a complex distributed environment
  • Experience withmonitoring systems,virtualization and data storage technologies
  • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot servers (various operating systems), storage systems, and network devices
  • Ability to administer and tune complex networks, LAN/WAN, enterprise grade WiFi, switching and routing knowledge at all OSI layers

The Role

In this position, you will play an integral role in AvalonBay’s Learning and Development team, both in delivering and developing learning solutions. You will be expected to partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize learning and development needs. You will also design, develop/source, implement, and evaluate learning solutions to maximize associate performance. You Have...

A Bachelor’s degree is required in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Human Resource Development, Business Administration or a related area. An advanced degree is preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience in Learning and Development field including instructional design, delivery and consulting in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in facilitation/delivery of instructor led training.
  • Experience as a people manager.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to effectively support performance improvement recommendations and solutions.
  • Proven ability to think strategically to design and develop learning solutions to close gaps between current and desired skill levels as demonstrated by current or past work experience.
  • Ability to manage projects, build relationships, communicate (verbal and written) and collaborate.

Desired:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will also have deep understanding and proven grasp of end-to-end programming and you are eager to write APIs that deliver a great product.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and build applications, provide designers with feedback, and suggest trade-offs when required
  • Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
  • Work closely with other engineers to understand and properly use the systems APIs
  • Write both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks
  • Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
  • Help and mentor other members of the team

You Have...

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with object-oriented software design and development using C#
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud-native software development using the Azure PaaS offerings (Event Hub, Service Bus, API management, Application Insights)
  • Working experience with Microsoft .NET Core and React, Angular (ASP .NET Web API + API versioning, Entity Framework MVC)
  • Deep knowledge of Unit Testing frameworks
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development
  • Knowledge of Static Code Analysis tools and metrics
  • Good all-round knowledge of Visual Studio Code and Azure DevOps
  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • RDBMS development using T-SQL (MSSQL, Azure SQL)
  • Experience developing microservices and understanding of the Domain Driven Design approach
  • Excited about new cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS and Serverless (Azure Functions) concepts, and containerization principles
  • Understanding of code instrumentation principles
  • Practical knowledge of source code management tools
  • Nice to have: Salesforce development experience
  • Computer sciences or related degree or 5+ years of experience in software dev
