no one really knows this
a clogged gutter would be a step up for this place, from some higher ups who are clueless about the dysfunction in their own teams because they’re too focused on hearing the sound of their own voice every second of the day to the boomers who are just check collecting and doing the bare minimum, this place isn’t worth it except for a complete top down change.Even worse are cashier #11’s with fancy titles who can only copy what they see someone else doing and are too busy colluding in desperation to protect themselves because no real company would want them. Many constant remote workers put their personal lives over paying even a little attention to their job. All is lacking to a truly disturbing level shows that real leadership hasn’t been around in years, if you must take a job here count on being an active searcher until you can leave just ask anyone who’s gone they’ll tell you.

Burnt-out

A manager position allows you the opportunity to make enough to rent a one bedroom apartment. Which is nice?
Working a stressful job day in and day out with yearly wage increases negligible compared to inflation (average for 2024 for my peers was 1.5%…. Inflation is close to 10%). No cost of living wage adjustments. The majority of FULL TIME retail workers would qualify for state benefits. I need a second job to just skate by with no savings. Convoluted incentive structure that was recently changed to effectively cut pay for high producers. Constant new job responsibilities without any additional pay. Constant issues working with remote work teams who are disengaged and unhelpful. Lack of competence everywhere you look. Bonus structure partly tied to customer reviews which are inherently negative as dissatisfied customers tend to be more motivated to complete surveys. Constant “huddles” with upper management that regurgitate the same redundant information and waste time. Low level universal bankers are offered starting pay lower than local gas station attendants. Constant and unrelenting push to sell products and keep customers in the building for long periods of time. Expectations to produce hundreds of new accounts without corporate making genuine marketing/ advertising campaigns to assist (all while foot traffic inside brick-and-mortar banks are at all time lows which was extenuated by recent push to move everyone to direct deposit).

Pay us more than the local dishwasher. Pay us what we’re worth. Pay us so my peers aren’t legitimately too poor to work here. We are drowning while the company boasts 8-figure stock buy-backs. Have our backs before the customer’s for once. We are asked by upper management how we can better motivate our employees… any answer that is not “MONEY” is disingenuous absolutely enraging.

Garbage
Work from home flexibility in some areas
Lack of strategy (executives are all in fighting, pointing fingers and running around like chickens with their heads cut off)
Executive Leadership lacks transparency, is performative and does not actually do anything that they promote and is largely older white men.
Pay is way below average
Horrible annual increases
No recognition for hard work
Horrible communication
Toxic work culture
Political dumpster fire
Company has ERGs and all these awards that are just performative and are in direct conflict with what is actually going on.
Little to no ability for career advancement
Unfair title distribution

This bank is not long for this world
Hours, if you work at a branch with good management, you were done at 4
Poor onboarding, remote 'training' that wasn't allowed to be completed if branches were short staffed. Hire unqualified staff and let toxicity fester. Super high turnover because of toxic managers

Great company, moving a little too quickly with technology
I love the culture and the kind workers. They give a lot back to the community.
They're moving quickly to make the technology better, but that is causing most IT workers to have workloads that are unmanageable. They need to hire more people to do the work.
