The pay is horrible. I wanted to get promoted to an assistant store manager and they wanted to give me only a $1 increase while I would be doing a lot of hard work. Part-time employees do not get any benefits except for sick time and no PTO. No time and a half for holidays like other companies. I would not recommend this company if you are looking for a living wage. The work environment was great because I had an amazing team but aside from that it was horrible as a company itself. No incentives for employees to do anything. no bonuses no nothing.

What is the best part of working at the company?
If you are keen to the boutique setting and enjoy the stylist client relationship you will be right at home. For me the best part was being able to make real connections with people and seeing familiar faces.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Workload. The constant task drops each day were panic enducing. Sales are communicated morning of. No central hub to get updates. Not having enough training or adequate help . YOU DROWN.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Chaotic. Giving 100% is not enough. Contradictory expectations and responsibilities
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Endless updates to check for sales floor sets and customer outreach. Hourly sales logging . Omni pick pull pack and ship throughout the day but check often. New product receiving, processing and stocking asap. Greeting each customer and assessing needs. Typical retail environment

Chico’s is really a lovely company to work for. They’re not perfect, but I have seen real change while there. They listen to their employees and usually do their best. The pay is poor even for retail. The customers are the sweetest.
