The pay is good compared to other banks with similar positions. Management is supportive and helps you with anything you need. Management style and advancement really depends on which branch you land at. The only thing I can critique is that the company is so far behind technology. Simple tasks for customers can take 20-30 min because of the outdated system they use. I had a manager who loved to whine a lot, he would get frustrated easily and let all his anger out on his employees. However new boss gave away all my locations to friend. However other than that I really enjoyed working with the branches and being a problem solver for branches . My job was to set up Bankcard processing for new merchants and to offer better service and better prices with alliance of Global Payments Bankcard and check processing systems. Included software systems. I thought that was great. My problem came Comerica Bank on the Global Payments side with new manager. She is no longer with the company! I would recommend Comerica Bank! Great healthcare. Diversified merchant base. Mangers were in meetings daily with comerica and collectors knew more about the system than Comerica, but because the structure was all over the place it was easy to make commission goals and the job itself was easy come in and start calling on negative accounts to see when people were going to pay not a lot of calls to make during the day so a lot of down time when your queue emptied out. After training there is no support for temporary employees. I was astounded at the lack of support and help that was available to me. Being that it was my first time as a teller. It also hindered my progress to deal with certain treatment from a certain manager. It was a burden to all the employees at the branch I worked at when she was there. She’s not a terrible person, she was just belittling as a manager. But for the wage I received I dealt with it. Lost my job due to drawer outages. Will try another bank when I’m ready to see if I have a better experience.
