Horrible pay, even worst work culture, treat maintenance techs like they are worthless

The property was beautiful and I enjoyed the residents more than the staff.

They are eliminating positions left and right, overworking front and back end, and they treat the maintenance staff as if they are inferior. Terrible, terrible work culture and you would never think that coming from a company (REIT) such as Camden.

I honestly don't know what Carter possibly does that even helps the company. So many upper managers getting paid to do Turkey Trots and the most ridiculous things, but they have no idea their entire portfolio is barely being looked at. Their greatest asset, the actual properties, are depreciating due to their lack of preventative maintenance and their way of looking at the back end maintenance side as if they are so inferior....they are the backbone of your company. Without them, you are nothing. Remember that.

Benefits are good. Coworkers that have passion are great.

Favoritism for people who are lazy, never on time, do not assist customers on a timely manner, when issues are present they get ignored. They hire for you, even though the person is not a right fit for your team or even ready to move up as longs they are related to someone they get the job. They try to empower and talk nice but it’s very different once you are on site. The open door policy is there but they use that against you once you’ve brought up issues.

The pay rate is good for the work/life balance. The company provides good health benefits.

The supervisors leading the call center are extremely unprofessional. The procedures are constantly changing which results in the advisors not being trained properly and in return are held responsible for not keeping up with the constant change. There is very to no promotion available due to the current supervisors holding rank for over a decade.
