What is the best part of working at the company?
The people were great, and it was a fun place to work. It was all remote, although we did get together a couple times a week for lunch and to do stuff as a team. It was a good place to work.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It was very competitive, and the calls could become stressful sometimes.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very relaxed and fun. They had catered lunch 2x a week, and you could sit wherever you wanted as the office was usually pretty empty.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Usually I worked from home, so we would all get together on zoom for 5 min or so and discuss anything from the day before. Then we would do our own thing. Take calls asking about loans, helping with applications, working on issues etc.

Love some of the people here but it can become overwhelming
|
They give you tools to grow in your career and personal life as well but had many things that prevented you to either grow or get a raise. You could work your butt off all year and receive so many awards and that wouldn’t even get you a raise. Felt like my manager micromanaged a lot of things and when you’re done proving you can handle it they want you to do more.

Good pay

Typical call center job, but the pay is really nice. The environment and coworkers are welcoming. Some comments during one on one's are unnecessary. It did get frustrating at times when we offer hardship plans to customers but then get told to try to avoid it.

Mandatory hybrid schedule with uncertain PM teams

There was only two lunch lines and they run out of food early, but they stopped doing that to “cut down costs.” PMs are creating products they’re not even fully sure customers need. Engineering team significantly cut. Not enough meeting rooms but mandatory hybrid schedule.

To keep the company profitable there have been so many layoffs that there is not enough resources to deliver a quality product to clients. Many promises have been made and not followed through on. Customer service has suffered and no one seems to care.

It paid well. Until it fell apart
|
Upper management doesn't Care. They used to be great but suddenly they won't work with your schedule and they have had multiple layoffs. All while saying oh its fine and flaunting how much money they are making. Never felt secure there. They paid great for a while and then suddenly they changed that too right before they fired everyone.

Great opportunities

LendingClub has been a great place to work, I am able to work from home which has been a blessing. There are different department options and we can earn commission on top of our base pay which has been consistently earned since I’ve been out of training 3 years now. The annual raises are very small so that is a downfall, but the better you do the more commission and annual raise bump you get.

Flexible hours, fun coworkers, not a lot of room to move
|
I started here with the intent of growing within the company and while the location itself is amazing, the coworkers and teams are fun and energetic, and the work itself isn't too bad there isn't a lot of room for advancement across departments. I have been trying to jump to a new role for nearly a year and am shut down every time, while the expansion in my department now stands unabated. It's a great culture and I will miss working here, but there needs to be more in the way of career advancement and skill growth.
