The administration is laying off hundreds of engineers to "save money"
Lockheed Martin is quick to lay off employees regardless of how loyal you are. I have seen lifers get kicked out the door without a clue why

Too many layoffs are affecting culture; when people are afraid, they retreat. Transition to remote has some drawbacks.
I did not realize it's cyclical: it has ups and downs. This is fine for young people but can be dangerous for others.
