Pretty disorganized, odd culture of competition with other interns, FTE always busy, little trust and belief in interns to learn new things and contribute. Experience is very team dependent, though other interns in my dept. felt the same.

Very fun and Active Workplace With great Benefits
|
I look back at my time at Lockheed Martin with fondness. The work atmosphere is one of the most positive I've ever seen, which is helped by the very flexible scheduling options. My co-workers were helpful and friendly and the work was very motivating and interesting. The only complaint I have about my time there is the disorganization brought on by an overzealous Agile framework that made software development frustrating.

Ok place to work, don’t expect too much
|
Working with people whom are rather supportive. Some projects are hit or miss. Antiquated processes on complex projects under unrealistic expectations.
Although there are opportunities for growth laterally, don’t expect a vertical promotion without being close to someone in leadership.

Lockheed is a good place to work. The pay is good and the benefits are in line with industry averages. However, it is a BIG corporation so be prepared to be treated like a number eventually.

Incompetence hidden in secrecy
|
The "Skunk Works" name is legendary. Sadly its best days are long gone. Everything from the facilities to the methodology to the end product is outdated, but they can put on a good show for the customer. Management promotes based on gender preferences and popularity while sweeping technical issues under the rug. Little room for advancement, and promotion is based more on politics than engineering or technical ability.
