Working for a company that has a quality product would be fun? Not so fast. When faced with a toxic work culture, that stems from management/owners it is very discouraging circumstance to find oneself.

If the company actually took care of their employees I would absolutely love this job. The furniture is amazing!

What is the best part of working at the company?
No family time work every weekend. The Griegers owners of 8 stores, changed the commission pay to make it harder for sales associates to earn a decent pay check. No 401k no sick days no paid holidays no personal days and the vacation pay is very low you can’t even afford to take a vacation.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Selling bedroom dining which we don’t have in our store to store and if you don’t sell it they take a percentage from your paycheck.

Everyone is nice in the showroom we are like family. That’s why we are holding on.

Updating customers scheduling deliveries cleaning showroom selling..

working there was such a joy. This was the first job that I didn’t mind getting up and coming to. The managers and the owners are great people also is the easiest money that I’ve ever made. The drama is something that you wanna stay away from just be nice to everybody and treat others the way that you want to be treated.

They lie a lot, trying to brainwash their employees to accept a subpar set of benefits. Realistically, it pays around 30-40k a year in commission and bonuses for most employees. There is no compensated vacation or time off. You are expected to work as needed on days off. There is a LOT of uncompensated overtime and they do not give raises. Insurance plan routinely rejects payments and you have to fight to get them to pay. Only decent benefit is their employee purchase plan, but it’s still very difficult for most employees to afford their overpriced product. Maybe ok for a newbie salesperson, but a seasoned pro will be sorely disappointed.

A nice place to work, but increasingly harder to make a decent living there.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The product is great and customers are generally very nice.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sales goals are arbitrarily set by the owner each month and are getting harder and harder for anyone to achieve. Lately, there have been months where not one sales person in the store has accomplished their target. You get paid okay if you hit your goal - if you don't it's basically minimum wage.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overall not a bad work environment as long as you keep busy, cleaning, tidying, dusting furniture, checking tags and pillows, windexing the glass, etc. If the owner comes in for a surprise visit and sees you relaxing, you might as well pack your things. He hates seeing anyone idle - even though they are on commission, not paid hourly, he still wants to see everyone working all the time.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start an hour early so you can listen to the manager's sales meeting and practice your breathing. Work in rotation taking customers as they come in the door and then between customers you clean and dust the store. The manager will sneak out in the afternoon but you will work until 7:00 and then close down the till and lock up the store.
