<p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field</li>
<li>Minimum of three to five years of income tax related experience</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of U.S. income tax laws</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word</li>

<li>Resolve and mitigate Purchase Order issues with suppliers and/or shippers that include but are not limited to specifications, delivery, returns, damages, follow-up, etc.by enforcing Terms and Conditions, making recommendations on solutions, and follow thru with vendor on compliance.</li>
<li>Perform high level analysis that may include preparing reports used for analyzing and forecasting.</li>

<li>Bachelor's degree preferred and High School Diploma or equivalent required</li>

<li><span>Provides routine communications to stakeholders and management.</span></li>
<li><span>Develops strategies for both process improvements and new initiatives.</span></li>

<p>Trains internal and external users for business systems related to nominations, authorizations, inventory management, bill of lading (BOL), etc.</p>
<p>Provides Traffic & Inventory Scheduler duties as backup on an as needed basis.</p>
<p>Identify new and expanded uses of technology to aid in business development, expansion, growth and optimization opportunities by acting as a liaison between the Information Technology (IT) development group and business units and/or customers for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement and maintenance of existing systems. </p>
<p>Supervises Marine Automation Support Schedulers at the assigned facility. Mentors coaches and provides direction on assignments. Ensuring proper training of staff, performance feedback is provided and disciplinary action is taken if necessary.</p>

<p>Provides leadership and supervises employees within span of control; coordinates department activities and assignments; ensures quality of subordinates' work; evaluates department processes and recommends and coordinates needed changes based on process analysis; makes decisions, solves problems; develops procedures, conducts meetings, manages employee hiring process, manages team performance; trains or provides for adequate training for employees; coaches, counsels, and motivates employees; addresses complaints or performance concerns; communicates job and performance expectations; implements corrective action as needed and in consultation with Human Resources; creates an ethical, non-discriminatory, and safe work environment; ensures compliance with Company policies; establishes effective communication lines/methods; manages conflict; accepts resignations; approves paid time off (PTO) and overtime (if applicable) and reviews and approves time sheets; completes annual performance evaluations with employees and provides periodic performance feedback throughout the year as needed.</p>

<p>Valid Driver’s License. This position is subject to the port security regulations set forth by the Transportation Security Administration and United States Coast Guard. Employment at this facility is contingent upon obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential. <p>Bachelors’ degree is highly preferred with 5 years’ experience in the petroleum industry.</p>

<p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<ul>
<li>Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records and trends for refined products and/or crude oil business segment to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Identifies and recommends resolutions to issues that impact the accuracy and completeness of operational and accounting data.</li>
<li>Analyzes, researches and provides recommendations for weighted average cost anomalies from our commodity accounting system, Right Angle.</li>
<li>Assist Supervisor in the overall review of Right Angle in preparation for monthly closing of the system. Also serve as backup for final closing and all system maintenance in Right Angle.</li>
<li>Communicates and consults with Commercial, Legal, IT, and Finance groups. Will play critical role from contract interpretation, to making sure our systems are setup to capture for accurate reporting.</li>
<li>Performs a wide spectrum of moderately difficult assignments requiring alternative analysis, innovation and judgement.</li>
<li>Prepares ad-hoc reports or analysis for internal management decision making related to commodity accounting.</li>
<li>Performs routine accounting responsibilities including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.</li>
</ul>
<p>REQUIREMENTS</p>

<li>Bachelors or better in Accounting or Finance.</li>
<li>At least three years of related work experience.</li>

<p><strong>Internal</strong> <strong>Reporting Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Complete revenue and/or expense variance analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting of actual financial performance versus various baselines. Maintain and distribute monthly business segment reports for management. Help executive management team prepare for quarterly board meetings and earnings calls through preparation of financial and capital spending analysis. Support Magellan's financial reporting group as needed.</p>
<p><strong>Budgeting Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Partner with internal stakeholders to manage Magellan’s annual / strategic planning processes. Formulate plan assumptions in conjunction with commercial, operations and functional areas and prepare analysis for executive plan presentations. Manage and support Magellan’s plan consolidation processes using various software applications. </p>
<p><strong>Research and Analysis Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Research, analyze and gather information to support various business activities, revenue and expense trends, market analysis, etc. Perform other ad hoc analysis for company management.</p>
<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field</li>
<li>Three or more years of financial modeling & analysis experience</li>
